BTW, after hearing the pronunciation of gigawatts in this presentation I did some research and it turns out that the original pronunciation of "giga" was with a "j" sound (really a soft "g"). Merriam-Webster shows the preferred pronunciation to be the "j" sounding version, as used in this presentation and in "Back to the Future". So, I suspect that this also means that gigabytes should also be pronounced "jigabytes".
