Some of the summer monsoons from the south are finally making it to northern Utah. At least the smoke from California fires has been less in our skies lately.
Yes, the current forecast is looking quite good. Low to mid 90's is much better than the 110+ I was expecting!!! Here's to hoping the forecast holds up as we get closer to the launch.
What about that cloud cover, though? Could limit the launch ceiling.
Weather Bug says mostly sunny, high 93, and winds from the SW at 4 MPH. Pretty sweet if it holds. Right now I like the partly cloudy and highs of 88 on the two days before.
10 day forecast ... LOL.
Agreed. But it’s all we’ve got.

The general haze from western wildfires can be a fooler. The skies may look blue and cloudless overhead, but IMHO looking through hundreds of feet of haze can make high flying rockets harder to see. I think lately the haze in Utah has been better than a week ago.

...and now those "Partly Cloudy" days are turning into "Mostly Sunny". I'll take a little more heat if it means clearer skies!
So far I’m liking the wind speed. 2-3 MPH. We’re not in Kansas anymore.
