I am interested in closeups of the delay element and delay parts.

I think I have a 105 nozzle, In what way is it different?

Yes, that’s odd, can you tell what the throat dia on that one is?

Good stuff - nice find.. definately vintage Kosdon motors, I remember talking to Frank when he was raving about the really cool ziplock bags he'd gotten .
I still have quite a few of those myself.

also, the 1" od motors use .875" snaprings.

Here's a little project I'm working on . SU carbon fiber case bonded . 22mm ID 24mm OD . This is a low pressure motor. I want to build a SU H470 carbon dart.

I have some of these reloads, cases and nozzles. I'm having a hard time figuring out what nozzle throats go with what reloads..

differences..

Nozzle data was pulled from the TMT testing data on the KBA
I170 (390 case) & J500 (AMW 640 case)

Added Kosdon 38mm 800, 900, & 1116 Ns & 98mm x 16,000
Ns hardware to the list

H225 (4 gr x 2" fast???) = 0.261"
H135 (1 1/8" motor? ... 5 gr slow) = 0.290"
H470 (4 gr x 4" fast) = 0.377"
H200 (3 gr x 4" slow) = 0.328"
I420 (1 1/2" motor? ... 4 gr fast) = 0.323"

Who would have had so many old motors from Frank? Frank lives on

That's just the fast 25mm loads. I also have 12 250ns H200 Slow loads and 6 250ns H105 Dirty Harry loads. I met Frank at LDRS 19(?) At Orangeburg SC and he personally assisted in building my first Kosdon reloads. I picked up most of my stuff from Ken Allen or Dave Triano

Any J1500s
I flew my Shadow Raven with a Kosdon a 38mm J1500. It really did leave pad like a rifle shot. So fast. It makes VMAX look slow. There is a video on MWP 9 2010 video. You can hear Wildman saying he never seen rail wipe like that.

I lost my RavenEx ( duel deployment version ) on a J1500 down at MDRA for the mach madness event . It was mach 2 plus going up , ad unfortunately close to mach coming back in. We walked the semi fresh plowed field in one 20 foot diameter circle but never found the hole. Finding a original J1500 is going to be hard. The 25mm H470 I have go in a almost 21 inch long case and burn in .6 of a second .

It is also my understanding that DE Certified motors are not considered fair game for launches. For instance, there is an Ellis Mountain J that is known as the "Boom Stick"... I don't remember the designation. There were enough incidents that I think this motor was decertified. I'm sure there are other examples.

Comment on NAR-TMT combined motor list from: https://www.tripoli.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=795696&module_id=494525

"OOP motors are NOT “de-certified”. You may continue to use them until supplies are exhausted. "

Interesting. The Combined Motor List linked on that page states:

NAR S&T said:
This list may indicate that a motor is "expiring" on a given date. This means its certification for general use will be withdrawn on the indicated date. The expiration date is three years after the motor is deemed de-certified, to give flyers time to use up any motors they have already purchased. After the expiration date passes, the motors can no longer be used.

I wonder which is correct.

J228. Somehow I got lucky - all five of mine worked great.
