Starting on this build Iā€™ve been thinking about for some time now. It is based on some blue tube booster airframe I got from a member here a couple years ago. Because Iā€™m starting from this it is gonna end up being less than real scale I suppose, but close enough to attempt the build anyway. šŸ˜
I worked on a drawing of the interstage piece with a buddy and we were able to print a pretty good version of it that fits the boosters(4-54mm blue tube)
After much sandingšŸ˜. It is primed and fits like a glove.

More pieces finished. The first of the four fins for the booster fin can, the sustainer to nose transition and the two parts of the nose cone. Working on turning an aluminum tip to finish the nose.

Ok. Got the business end figured out. And the booster fin can pieces done. On to more sanding, filling and priming before I mix the first epoxy for this bad boy.

Getting back to it. Getting the booster actually epoxied together. Fin sections to booster tube were done first. Than each one attached to the g10 spacing ring for alignment. 1610304378279.jpeg

Used an old arrow shaft to make conduits for the sustainer ignition. I like when I find random stuff around the shop to build with!!
When the JB dries Iā€™ll cut them off flush.
