Hi,

I've been looking to make a 1/100th scale (or close) model of the SpaceX ITS rocket. I will be getting most of the parts 3D printed except for the booster body tube and spaceship main frame. Does anyone have some CAD models of this or drawings so that i can design it?

Thanks,

As far as I know, the only public images are.from.the Lo-res concept video. You may have to blaze a trail take some screen measurements for yourself here.

It'll be really cool if.you.do though. What are you thinking of for fins?

For fins probably some clear material. It would be nice if i could use vectored engines like this guy has been doing on his falcon 9 rockets (https://www.bps.space/) but that is unrealistic for now.

I was planning to get a commercial body tube and scale it from there. My goal is to get it as close to 1/100 as possible and i already have some of the measurements so making the booster would not be too hard except for the protrusions at the bottom (not sure if they are fins or something else.

The spaceship shouldnt be too hard, it looks like a 0.5 parabolic NC on top of a body tube with three thick fins mounted on the side. I can get the tubes and the NC 3d printed.

It looks like a program called "Sketch up" which I haven't used but might be free for certain uses. https://www.sketchup.com/
Available as an STL for Solid Works.

I've been using Autodesk Fusion360, which is a free to try and free to students program, seems to work with the sketch up files and can load the solid works file as a mesh only.
OnShape is free for public use, and being that its made by ex-solid works peeps should be compatible with STL files.

What is it you were hoping to use?

Thanks for the info!

I was actually planning to use autodesk or 3d builder to open the files.
