What is the volumne of 1 gram of 4F BP? Is it 1-TBSP -1tsp ? Is there any conversion tables avalible on the web? I am trying to figure out how large to make ejection canisters in a alt. bay. I am using 3/4 to1/2 inch copper reducer with a cap on the 1/2 inch end drilled into the bulkhead of the alt. bay. Maybe plastic is the way to go? Its an 4" Bullpup. Thanks.

FFFFg BLACK POWDER CONVERSION CHART

I found a FFFFg Black Powder Grains-to-Grams conversion chart at
https://www.mbrocketry.com/rocket_info/programs/model_rocket/converters/grains/grains_to_grams.htm .

At a local Sporting Goods store, I bought a $5 set of plastic scoops made for Black Powder Flintlock-type rifles. Inside the "Lee Powder Measure Kit" box, there was a sliderule-type guide that converts "Grains" of Black Powder to the scoop sizes (in cubic centimeters). By correlating that chart with the downloadable chart above, I came up with the following for FFFFg Black Powder:

1 CC = 14.9 grains for the weight of FFFFg Black Powder.
1 Gram = 15.432 grains for the weight of FFFFg Black Powder.

0.30 cc = 4.5 grains = 0.29 grams

0.50 cc = 7.4 grains = 0.48 grams (close to 1/2 g.)

0.70 cc = 10.4 grains = 0.67 grams

1.00 cc = 14.9 grains = 0.97 grams (close to 1 g.)

1.30 cc = 19.4 grains = 1.26 grams

1.60 cc = 23.8 grains = 1.54 grams (close to 1.5 g.)

1.90 cc = 28.3 grains = 1.83 grams

2.20 cc = 32.8 grains = 2.13 grams

2.50 cc = 37.2 grains = 2.41 grams

2.80 cc = 41.7 grains = 2.70 grams

3.10 cc = 46.2 grains = 2.99 grams (close to 3 g.)

3.40 cc = 50.6 grains = 3.28 grams

3.70 cc = 55.1 grains = 3.57 grams

4.00 cc = 59.6 grains = 3.86 grams

4.30 cc = 64.0 grains = 4.15 grams
