A few of you may have recalled my BARCLONE inspired (See YORF for the BARCLONE forum), two stage Saparinger XL... yeah I suppose I am vain enough to think a few of you might. Anyway in that thread you'll see a few action packed photos where it was badly wounded when on the maiden flight an Estes E9 went kaboomski at sustainer ignition.
Anyway it's rebuilt and back on the pad for more fun in the sun... this time with a D12 in the booster and yes... wait for it... an E12-6 in the sustainer... a glutton for punishment I guess...
Nice!
Staging without drama... whadya know... Estes Es are like a box of chocolates...
The staging tipped off a little bit shaving some altitude off the peak but the Adept ALTIM-1 beeped out a respectable 1374' (418m). Recovery was also drama free. Still no wind... I didn't have to walk more than a few 100 yards (200m) all morning long... :surprised::surprised::lol::lol::flyingpig:
