Yes the fins did overhang a little bit, but I never thought twice about it and it flew fine without changing anything.

Good rocket, mine flew fine with the exception of the smallest recommended motors 1/2A3-2T. It's not enough power.

I launched this rocket several times on a lake bed, and broke fins. I rebuilt the rocket 2 or 3 times. So I would recommend a larger chute for hard surface landings. Just make sure you have plenty of space for wind drift.

I think Hobbylinc usually has the best prices.

Copperheads seem to work well for me. Not nearly as nice as the FirstFire igniters, and they don't always work 100% and can be finicky. Also sometimes I need to sand down the tip to get them to fit into the motors. But they seem to work most of the time, and they are cheap!

Great rocket kit! The only problem I had was that I would break fins when it landed on a hard surface (dry lake bed). A slightly larger parachute would help, or just make sure your rocket will land on a softer surface (soft grass or soil).

I had issues with the Initiator kit's fins breaking, and re-built it twice. The fins extend down past the aft end of the body tube, so they take the brunt of the impact, especially on a hard surface. However it was also my first mid-power kit, so inexperience probably played a roll. A...
