Thanks, Don. Have you had the A rocket glider event this year? If so, what was the winning times for it?

    1/4A helicopter

What is a good time for 1/4A helicopter? During our regionals, I was able to achieve 20 to 29 second flights, which won, but I'm not sure it was because of a good time or not good competitive models.

FLARE, my local rocket club, hosted the 40th anniversary commemoration ceremonies of the Apollo 17th lunar mission. In attendance were Harrison Schmitt and Jan Evans, widow of astronaut Ronald Evans. Since the Apollo 17th mission was launched at night, we did a re-enactment with a night launch...

    L1 Certification Gallery

I achieved my L1 using a custom scratch built 2.6" rocket on a 29 mm H128 in June of 2011. I built the tube using 2" pvc pipe as the mandrel (3 layers of 110 lb cardstock), turned the balsa nose cone on my lathe, and used 1/4" plywood from the shop for fins. The 30" parachute was sown by my...

I printed the decals for mine. I was expecting decals to come with the kit, but I did not find any. If I were to do it again, I'd use a dark metalic paint for the top section.

My newest addition to my fleet. Added note: I flew this rocket on a G40-7 today (6/17/2012) for the first time. It didn't need the full seven seconds, but did all right.

Fliskits - Midnight Express (FRE01) Gallery

Will do. I plan to give it a shot May 5th at our monthly launch. I'm very confident that it will fly to perfection. I've put a bit of silicone rubber in the cone to help with the stability.

I've worked over the Midnight Express pattern to make it into a Mercury Redstone model. It still needs a bit of work.
