    Soyuz-Fregat

I went back to Ton's site and looked at the completed models. I couldnt help but notice the 1/48 Soyuz was in front of the 1/48 Titan IIIc. I may have to do some re-sizing, but the fairing of the Titan may work with the Soyuz creating the Soyuz-Fregat.

    Vostok 1

Thank you to everyone for the excellent ideas. I found a used air filter from a semi truck that has roughly the same pattern I need for Vostok/Soyuz. I burned away the paper filter, cut a strip the size I needed, and painted it. It's strong, light, and looks good. Will be posting pics of the...

    Vostok 1

Ok, so after a year of building Leo's Vostok 1 model, I took it out excited to finally be able to shoot it and the interstage collapsed! I was thinking of using either toothpicks or some wire mesh to fix this. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

Progress Fairing For Tons' 1/48 Soyuz

Anyone know of a 1/48 fairing for Ton Notebooms Soyuz? I can't get the scaling correct to convert the 1/96 fairing. Or is there a 1/48 Progress out there I can't find? Thanks!

    Saturn V Cardstock Flight Conversion?

I would use modeling clay for your nose weight. I too live in a constricted area, and when I built Ton's 1/48 Soyuz I had to use redneck engineering to get the CB correct. After I had everything assembled I put the motor I wanted in and kept adding clay in the nose until it balanced out on the...

    Chinese Long March 1/96 scale

Wondering if anyone can upscale this for me to maybe 1/48th scale? Great little rocket, I lost this guy to a wind gust after launch  Used 110lb cardstock, with a BT20 tube, streamer recovery, and a C6 motor.

    Jupiter-C

Bob, I used 110 lb. cardstock to construct the original fins. However, using a C6-5 motor cardstock seemed to work real well. It wasnt until I used the D12-3 that I started running into problems with the cardstock fins. This was my first cardstock model, and I really wanted to take it...
