Did Estes Discontinue the Honest John 7240?

There are two different versions of the real Honest John - one with big fins and the external spin motors (M31), and the other with small fins and the recessed spin motors (M50). Estes has modeled both versions over the years.

Found a box of old rockets I had forgotten about.

Looks like a Starlight Rockets F-32 Avenger https://www.rocketreviews.com/f-32-avenger---starlight-rockets.html

    FLISKITS is Back

Is that BT-55? I built a BT-55 upscale many years ago. Flew great on D12's and AeroTech E15's. Jim Flis got a shot of it flying on an E15 at a Fliskits anniversary launch a few years back. Unfortunately, it fell victim to an E12 cato a couple of years later.

I'm pretty sure it's BT-65. Estes has the tube and a coupler available on its website.

How to reattach shock cord to Estes PSII rocket?

That's what I did when I first built my Mammoth. That plastic mount just looked like a bad idea to me. No problems so far in about half a dozen flights with BP Fs.

What Do You Think About 3D Printing

I don't see any difference between a 3-D printed part and a similar injection molded or blow molded one. As the commercial used to say, "Parts is parts". I don't think 3-D printing will replace traditional manufacturing techniques for mass production (e.g., Estes) any time soon, but for...

    "Original" vs. "Scratch"

I've always used the term "original" to means something that was designed by the modeler, whether it was some exotic fantasy craft or a simple 3FNC. "Scratch" would be something not built from a kit. Models built from someone else's plan would fall into the "scratch" category if I built it...

An explanation for the continuing Toilet Paper shortage

If I can't get the usual stuff when I run out, I'd gladly buy the industrial grade rather than resort to some other alternatives. It was good enough when I was using it at work.
