Im building a 2.6x35'' 29mm version of the Giant Leap Rocketry "Nuclear Sledgehammer". Of course mine will be called "Tackhammer".

Oh yes, I got alot of info from that site and not just on Phoenix. Here is the latest Phoenix 30" tall with 29mm motor mount.

I have the Estes model plans in .pdf if you need them. Comes with decal sheet and fin layout.

The only time the ink ran on me is when I didnt spray enough clear coat over it. I normally do three layers and let it cure. Never had the problem since.

Yeah Sodmeister that Bullpup of yours is really nice, but then again I havent seen one of yours that wasnt. When you do it will you do a build post so I can get more info on building? Once I get a little more experince I am going to get that kit, the Bullpup as well. Hopefully my flights this...

I just looked at their website which shows the pieces and that is not what was sent to me. Oh well what to do.

The fins were precut and that is what they sent me. I dont know if this is new model or they sent the wrong fins. Also took them a month to send me the decals for it. They had some problems with the decal manufacture.

What did I do wrong on the fins. Not quit sure what your telling me. Here is somewhat better pics. Just found out my camera isnt working that good due to wife dropping it during her New Years Eve drunken stupper. Orange park is just south of Jacksonville.

I cant seem to get a nice clean paint line. This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time I used the tape that removes easy. After sanding it all off I tried using regular masking tape which worked better but the same thing occured in a few spots. What am I doing...

Excellent Ive been looking at those retainers so now its time to use them. I see on the motor how it keeps from going up into the rocket. Thx guys that what I needed. Ill post the pics once I'm done.

So the engine wont blow out during recovery phase? I just need to go to a NEFAR launch and just watch how its done. Thx for all the input people I really appreciate it.
