    Pumpkin Spice Apocalypse!

Probably due to climate change and Earth's shifting magnetic field, my worst fears of Pumpkin Spice invasion are coming true! I've thought for years that the infestation has started earlier and earlier in the year. Now we have data to prove it! We're just a few short steps away from year...

    Good Night, Oppy movie

Last night we went to see the new movie "Good Night, Oppy". It's about the experience of Spirit (a little) and Opportunity (mostly), MER-A and MER-B, 6 wheeled rovers on Mars. This is a very touching portrait of the rovers, yes anthropomorphized, could be corny, but it's OK because after 17...

??? September 2022 NAR Electronic Rocketeer newsletter

hey folks, in the September 2022 NAR Electronic Rocketeer newsletter, safety section, Steve Lubliner suggests ematches and ignitors can be set off by shock, static electricity, and induced currents from large EMI fields. I don't think that is true in any situation. Never heard of any such...

Where to buy quality 1/8" plywood?

Hey folks, where do you buy quality plywood? By quality, I mean 5 ply, "aircraft" rated. All I can find locally is 3 ply, looks like thin birch veneer over thicker basswood? Several brands, all say "not for aircraft use". The "not for aircraft" stuff has interior checks, splits, and voids...

hey folks, yesterday we launched a few hundred Quest A6-4s and B6-4s. One of the A6-4 motors lit OK and launched the rocket, but the rocket crashed because of no ejection... not too unusual but, the clay on top of the motor is intact so it seems the ejection never fired! anyone ever heard...
