    Who's watching the World Cup?

This will be my 7th WC series and the goal this year is to record all 65 matches . It was good to see the US team contend somewhat with England. Aside from Green's mistake we had 2 or 3 shots in the second half that should have gone in. That said I think France will make it to the final.

Why do forum index links disappear from time to time?

I been logged in for 5 minutes and do not see the forums for Modeling, Specialized, Vendors, Events et cetera all the way down to Miscellaneous. Why is that? Lookin for something to buy in the Yard Sale. Thanks

Space theme personal checks? Who sells em?

Yeah, so my club got a checking account finally. Need to look cool when paying launch fees and donations et cetera. Represent properly. I'm too lazy to do any googling - all this freakin snow is draining my attention span to zip. Anyway, where can I buy space-themed checks? Thanks very much!

The Launch Pad rockets - show us yours

My AIM-4 Falcon. I first found out about TLP kits from this forum - version 1 -admiring the kits built by Styme and others. I understand the real Falcon was an awful air to air missle - small warhead, no proximity so a kill required a direct hit...but this is my absolute favorite low power...

    Estes Big Dawg 24mm conversion

Here is an Estes Big Dawg kit I modified to fly on D12 motors. I really love this kind of upgrade conversion because the D12 puts out a lot of noise and long thrust for low power rockets. Ok, so to convert your Big Dawg to fly on D12s, get a BT55-50 motor mount from any fine online...

    MMX-II-NE motors

I saw the thread about Quest offering parts for sale so with my order last week I added 3 packs of NE motors. The box came Monday and here is what you get in one motor pack: 6 motors, 6 Q2 ignitors, three brown cardboard tubes and motor instructions for the old MMXII motors. hmmmm.....Excited as...

12v launch controller system wiring - 4 pads

I am in the process of building a 4 line lanuch controller running on 12 volts. Some plans I have seen call for resistors but others not. So one concern I have is safety - how many amps can 12 volts create across the system that has a test and ready lamp? I appreciate any and all advice. thanks.

    MMX Nike Smoke CATO

Now that more user-friendly MMX igniters are available my club is tracking more towards MMX. Last weekend during a club launch this cato happened. everybody was amazed at the first flight - bitty little thing zoomed straight and high. Expecting to see that again on the second - 3-2-1.... I think...

24mm Bullpup and AIM4 Falcon launch videos

On Saturday, I was able to fly and recover two of my favorite 24mm rockets - a modified Estes Bullpup: https://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7598214973898233833&q=estes+bullpup&ei=0YGXSMCtHKiw4QKX6cCEBQ&hl=en and my Launchpad AIM4 Falcon...

How I started a youth rocket club

In my NARCON 2008 thread somebody asked how I run the rocket club I supervise, what does it take to start one and keep one going. I'm sure I could improve in areas but I just got out there and made the effort and learned by experience. Well, this month happens to be the first anniversary for my...

    Queeg500's NARCON 2008 report

This is my report and I'm stickin to it. I only went Saturday the 15th and brought the my elementary school's rocket club. We had been planning on this event since November 07. Two kids told me they lost sleep the night before anticipating the event and at the return home today they said they...

What will you fly at NARCON 2008?

Looking forward to the flight event. What are you bringing? My club owns the Loc Onyx and the Falcon is mine. The Onyx is a milestone for the boys who started out building the Generic E2x and Swift kits 11 months ago. Now it's midpower. Too easy!

    Rocketpad kits

Anyone know if Rocketpad is still in business? I got the Megadawg last winter and loved it. Looking for the Bulldog now but don't see anything on ebay. Thanks!

    Big Daddy shock cord repair

Not sure how to proceed with this repair. When I packed the burrito, the 3/8" nylon shock cord got mashed across the motor tube opening so on a D12-5 ejection the cord burnt almost completely off. This went unnoticed until the next preflight check. pull, snap! oh great! the original setup went...

    FlisKit Honest John MMX build

A MicroMaxx build! Why not? I have had my eye on the FlisKits Honest John kit for a while with the cost being the primary reason not to buy because hey, you can build great flyers out of bic pens and rolled typing paper so, y'know. but last week I added this great little kit to my order of...
