    Fiberglassing 5.5" LOC big nuke

If the dry spots are from the first layer, I would re-apply epoxy first and then sand. If you do sand the dry spots the glass fibers might get damaged and the fabric will loose strength. Should the dry spots be from the second layer, you may sand them and the re-apply epoxy as thre is still the...

Anyone Use Tinder Rocketry Ejection Charge Wells?

I guess they giving the instructions for "Double FireBird Charge Well" where you can connect the e-match for the main and the backup altimeter. If you use only one e-match, the hole where the e-match cable passes through is not tightend and you would need to install an additional O-ring to...

    LOC 4" IRIS question

Me too would not recommend to fly this on a G motor. Even As OKTurbo wrote it hardly would be on a stable flight and I cannot imagine that you get past RSO check. Use a nice I motor (I180) and do not worry about the test flight, which would be most probably unssuccessful with a G motor.

I would not suggest to build an rocket for L1 certification with the plan to use it also for the L2 certification with dual deployment. Of course this is possible, but from my experience I learned lot from building and flying my first L1 rocket which I then was able to use for my L2...

    Split Cameras

I did a flight with a RunCam Split 3 Nano. It was quite hot (approx. 90F (32°C) measured in the shadow) and the rocket was sitting almost 15 minutes on the pad in plain sun. The main chip on the camera board gets quite hot, which is normall according to the manual. Ebay measures about 4'' x 10''...
