They came that way for a period before switching to the single throat nozzle to allow usage in CTI cases. It's the correct nozzle.

Is there a timeline for the K62N? I was thinking it was supposed to come out last year, but there were problems iirc. I have a project that needs this motor :)

    Permanently Installed AV Bay?

I like to glue the coupler in and have a stepped bulkplate on each side that is removable. So on the main side, you can just pull on the shock cord and the bulkplate comes with the all-thread attached. You can make your charges and drop it back down.

I can attest to this. An actual racecar makes rockets look reasonable lol

    7.5” Sumo Upscale Build

Yeah original plan was to have it ready for LDRS this year, but I didn’t want to rush it.

54mm loads with the Medusa nozzle have the nozzle to liner oring. It can definitely be a pain sometimes.

    7.5” Sumo Upscale Build

Update on the big Sumo! Braden and I had our hands full sanding the big Arcas before we left for LDRS - so I just didn’t have time to finish the Sumo even though it was structurally complete. I just need to put on the decals, figure out the recovery, and put on rail buttons/motor retention...

I’ve haven’t seen any 360 loads with a seal disc yet, but if it comes with the thin oring and a phenolic liner that’s what it’s for. I did notice the I357s started coming with phenolic liners a year or two ago, but they still had a phenolic insulator; no seal disc.

I’ve had this happen with M840s and M1830s in AT cases. Those both have CTI’s small nozzle. All the M685s I’ve flown have had Medusa nozzles and I don’t think I had a problem. Doesn’t take much expansion for it to hang up on the closure though.
