    estes executioner

Hey everyone, I picked up an executioner on the estes BF sale and i would like to convert it to 29 mm over the 24 that comes with it. My curiosity is if the stock tube is strong enough for it or not. It feels kinda flimsy. Should i use this rocket as a first try at glassing or would it be...

    Shout out to estes!

I bought the high fligher xl from hl a couple days ago and I started on it yesterday. When I pulled the fins out of the sheet I noticed they were warped. I called estes this morning just to see if there was anything they would do about it and Sandra is sending me a new set! Excellent customer...

    Olympus

I picked this one up yesterday and I got to putting it together today. I notice that the fins seem really small compared to the overall size of the rocket. Anyone else have this kit and think the same? I dont doubt that they would be sufficient but just feels like its miss proportioned.

Anyone know what this kit is?

Hey everyone, I had this one in my fleet and lost the balsa nose cone on its last launch. I built it years ago and I can not recall what kit is was. The OD of the body tube is 33.5 mm and ID is 33 mm. Any insight would be appreciated as it was a beautiful flight and I want to get a replacement NC.

    North Dakota group?

I looked online for a group here in ND but only found NDRA #628 out of grand forks and the number is not a valid number. Can anyone point me in the direction of a group?

    Cherokee-e

For those who have built but not flown this model, I urge you to do so now. Absolutely gorgeous flight on the D12-5, First launch I went straight up and had about an 800 yard drift. Narrowly missed a little retention pond. Second flight I angle about 15 degrees and only had to walk about 100...

    First mid power kit

I just scored a good deal on an initiator at a hobby shop in billings. I'm super stoked to be able finally build a mid power lawn dart . However, the 22" chute it comes with seems a bit small for the weight of this kit. Anyone have this same opinion?

    Chute shroud lines

Likely a noob question but I gotta ask it. Why are the shroud lines so short when you order a chute from apogee for example? Is it to reduce drag or save cost? I re-tied my plastic chutes to longer lines for full effect and better drag. I think they are roughly 24-30 inches of line. I will...

    Sr71, phoenix

Back in the late 90s I built these two estes kits. They are no doubt my favorites I have ever built. Does anyone know why they were discontinued? I would love to get my hands on both of them for nostalgia's sake.

    New to the forum

Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and I have to applaud the amount of information to be had. I currently live in central ND on a farm and have 300+Acres I can launch on. So recently i have put together quite a few estes kits and have been having fun with them. I'm intending on building a...
