    L1 and L2 Cert Recommendations

Thanks @SecondRow I really like the look of the fusion, and the convenience of having everything in the kit.

    L1 and L2 Cert Recommendations

Hello everyone, hope you're safe and well. I'd like to pick up a quality kit to get my L1 and L2 certification. On top if that, I'd like to take it to LDRS in 2021. My budget is $300. Does anyone have a kit recommendation?

I forgot to thank everyone for your comments and to let you know that I'm putting this project on hold until I design a reliable way of ejecting the satellites at apogee.

    Plastic Centering Rings?

Is it possible to 3D print a centering ring and bond it to a cardboard tube? I need to make odd sized centering rings for a kitbashing project and my neighbor suggested using his printer. I've never seen anyone use plastic centering rings, so I need some advice on whether it's advisable or I...

What did you do rocket wise today?

The SD storage is a short term solution. I want to get a prototype out on the field ASAP and I can solve my current data collection that way now. Long term I want to be able to live stream the telemetry data to my laptop. That's a problem that I will solve once I begin working on my cansat...

My First Two Stager - Boosted Patriot Build

I'm nervous about it as well. The simulations keep coming out well so it's down to a real world flight at this point.

@Ralph M Bohm from top to bottom: RGB LED, buzzer, humd/temp, GY-521 gyro, and a push button. Still need to add an air pressure sensor, a real time clock, and a microSD (all on order). I saw that you were sorting resistors, any fun projects you're working on?

What did you do rocket wise today?

Finally the temperature in the PNW got over 50* and with a full week of sun, I was able to get paint on my rocket. I've been waiting all winter to paint this. The aluminum finish came out better than expected.

    Clustered Laserhawk - Questions

I have a NCR Laserhawk kit that I would like to make into a clustered rocket by adding 24mm motors to the kits (non-functional) side pods. The side pods have an interior diameter of 46mm, sort of a weird size for buying premade centering rings, so I need to make my own. Any suggestions for a...

My First Two Stager - Boosted Patriot Build

The issue that I seem to be having with this build is my "off the rod" speed. My best speed (according to OpenRocket) is 38 fps on a C6-0. I've been told that rockets should leave the rod in excess of 40 fps to ensure stable flight. Does anyone have tips on how I can increase my launch speed...
