    What to fillet fins with?

    Really happy with my results using J&B Weld KwikWood epoxy putty. Made fin/body fillets between wood fins and plastic tailcone on my Estes V2.

    Did a field trip this morning to scope out a flying field and pick up supplies for the initial flight of the recently completed Estes V2. A nearby county park has a soccer/football practice area with multiple fields that gives me a clear square area approx. 200 yards in a side! Visited the LHS...

    Hey, Huntsville...thanks for the reply! Haven't researched clubs in the area yet. I'm tempted to build the Saturn as a static display model. I'm not sure I want to risk the heartbreak of a flight "incident" resulting in loss of the vehicle!

    Built another Estes V2...here it is primed and ready for final assembly. Built my last one in 1969. Call it an Apollo fifty-year anniversary celebration!
