    Altus Metrum EasyMini Not Registering

As I remember, you need to plug in the USB cable before powering the easymini. That way you can connect it to a PC.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

That's a good idea. We will consider adding another chute if tumbling is not allowed for the payload too. Thank you.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

It's not allowed to tumble the main rocket body. So we were thinking as it is not allowed for payload too. But as Antares mentioned, this might be helpful for us. We will see. Thank you.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

1500 meters is after the apogee. So it's happening when falling, not flying.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

Thank you. That's true, it might help us. We will ask our coordinators to approve this.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

The reason for deploying at 1500 meters is to prevent tangling the shock cords. And in the 2nd stage, nose cone weight is set to zero, and the static margin is set according to these changes.

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

Our plan is to separate the payload from the rocket since they are falling separately. And we are showing this like in the ork file. How can we show this event(payload separation) to Openrocket?

Rocket is tumbling after stage seperation

Hi! We are building a high-power model rocket for competition in Turkey. Our motor will be m2020. Our mission is to reach up to 3km and drop our payload separately with its own chute. However, we are facing a problem in OpenRocket simulation. Our second stage is tumbling after separation. And...

    Stage Recovery Deployment Speed

Hi! We are designing a high power rocket for our national rocket competition. But we have a problem to ask you. Our rocket parameters are; 29kg, 15.6cm total diameter, and 2 separations. Our missions are deploying drogue chute at 3000m, releasing payload at 1500m, and main chute deployment at...

Most Accurate Way to Measure Velocity: Accelerometer vs Barometer vs ?

The pitot tube is the sensor you are looking for. This sensor can measure the fluid's flow speed.

    Smallest Model Rocket Flight Computer

We need to report the location of the main body. The payload needs to have a separate parachute and We need to report it's location too.

    Smallest Model Rocket Flight Computer

Hi! I'm the publisher of this HackADay log. This design might seem thick for you but none of the suggested altimeters have built-in Lora/radio telemetry or GPS. And this data's are important for rocket computations in Turkey. And I'm not trusting to header pins for keeping intact. There are 4...

Thanks for samples. Yes I'm adding noise to the datas.

    Flight logs

Hi! I'm trying to build an algorithm to detect the falling of my rocket. And I write a C# app to test my algorithm. In the app, altitude is increased by 50 meters in the flying part. When it reaches the maximum value it starts to decrease by 10 meters. My falling detection algorithm works with...

    Seperation with 16gr CO2 cartridge

Hi. I'm building two rockets for competition in Turkey. And I have some problems with chute deployment. When I try to separate chutes from the rocket, chutes stuck inside. Or even the nose cone is staying in place. 16gr co2 cartridge supposed to be eject; main chute, drag chute, 4kg payload, and...

    Chute Release and CO2 cartrige

Okay I understand that. Thanks for the help. I'll try this. Is chute release uses the same algorithm? If not what if I want to use some sort of spring mechanism for separation? There will be no pressure spike.

    Chute Release and CO2 cartrige

Hi everyone. I'm building a high power model rocket. And i am planning to use 12gr co2 cartrige for recovery seperation. This co2 will seperate two boddies and both my parachutes will leave the body at the same time. Because of that i need to keep my main parachute as folded. For this job i made...
