Need help flashing Eggfinder LCD firmware

For anyone reading this thread, I solved my problem with a CP2102 dongle. I have previously been successfully flashing firmware on all my other devices (TRS, Quantum, Proton) with either an FTDI cable or a generic Prolific one, but for some reason I kept getting the not syncing error with both...

Did you ever get it sorted? I have been struggling for several days now to do it.

Eggtimer Quantum - No continuity but deployment test fires.

Ive got a strange issue with my latest Eggtimer Quantum. It’s my 3rd and not seen this problem on the previous two. FWIW I’ve prob built around 10 kits with no major issues on initial startup. It boots up ok and the WIFI Connects. But when I put a load on the deployment channels, I dont get...

    Estes Executioner Plywood Fin Availability

Be aware that its a 24mm motor mount, so unless you upgrade that too, it will limit what motors will have enough thrust. Prob worth a sim to make sure you think its worth it. FWIW, i vacuum bagged carbon on mine and they are almost indestructible for significantly less weight than plywood fins.

3D Printing What Are You Printing Today?

Finally finished a mount for an EggtimerTx than has a threaded bases and can be moved from nose cone to nose cone. I've designed it to fit in a 54mm shoulder/coupler tube as that's what my next couple of projects will use, but it could be adapted easily to fit any larger mount. Only took me...

Cwbullet’s First Build of 2021: Partial printed 29mm Minimum Diameter

Looks good. How are you getting your charge wires back past the battery/endcap interface. Looks pretty tight. Its one of the reasons I went with a lipo and bear altimeter to give me a little wiggle room inside a 29mm coupler.

AltiUno and AltiDuo SMT and assembled versions

I’ll take a couple. I’ve just finished squeezing an alti duo into a 24mm av bay. This will give me more room to play with.

Sold Anyone interested in 29mm Carbon tubes

How does the tube wall thickness affect the motor. I’ve got 29mm ID CF tubes with 1.5mm walls (32mm OD), that fly brilliantly with 29mm motors friction fitted.

    Wildman Mach2 HED Recovery Gear?

I’m currently building a scratch version of this (expensive to get wildman kit shipped to OZ at present) and I’m working on same problems. My take is that this is an all fiberglass rocket with fins that don’t protrude rearwards. So assuming the parachute deploys, it’s gonna come in nozzle...

    Tinder Rocketry Piranha vs Mako

I’m wanting to try a cable cutter for MD 24 and 29mm rockets where my JLCR won’t fit and I’m planning to use a small altimeter for deployment and altitude recording +/- a gps tracker. I only just realised Tinder rocketry have produced two relatively new devices, but no real direct comparison...

Custom (overengineered) Eggtimer Tx sled and Receiver enclosure

Hotwings very kindly sent me the stl’s. Over the last couple of days I’ve printed the Eggfinder receiver in PLA and the TRS/Wifi sled in PETG - with full supports on a Prusa MK3+ using pretty PETG settings. Both came out well. I’m just waiting on some inserts I ordered on eBay so I can mount...

    Low power dual deploy

Unless you make your own altimeter, most are going to have a drogue channel as well as a main. So you’d have to put something on the drogue channel or your main wouldn’t fire. Even if you used a single channel apogee only, it wouldn’t be any good for deploying a main at a separate altitude.

Custom (overengineered) Eggtimer Tx sled and Receiver enclosure

Not sure if the original offer stands. I have DMd for the STL's. I particularly like the look of that TX case

    Fly Away rail guides?

I've printed the plastic parts in PETG already. Just waiting for a carbon rod. Think I'll try that first! I've never bought from Apogee as tjhe postage costs to here were always ridiculous.

    Fly Away rail guides?

Andrew, I’ve not used yours before obviously, but I have looked at them. prob would have bought - but international delivery is such a lottery at present I’m just avoiding it. I also need a 29mm one which you don’t make anyway. I’m intrested to know why you use aluminium tube rathere than...

    Fly Away rail guides?

Brendan, I’m printing some as we speak to try on Sunday with a bit of luck. Will be interesting to see if the Thingiverse design I found is any better than the ones you and Dave were using

Smallest, Most Simple Apogee Fire Electronics

I’ve bought a couple of the altiunos from Boris for apogee deployment. I‘ve combined them with a JLCR for main deployment on a MDRM and a Big Brute and they are faultless and dead simple.
