Help requested about new app to design motor

Hi Chad, About the stack, the frontend use Vue.js. The back is in Java (pretty simple, no cloud, docker or anything else). The back is only use to convert the frontend request to the JSRM format. It's a good idea to make a web version of OpenRocket but it's a lot of work.

Help requested about new app to design motor

Hi, Now you can use METEOR with APCP or any other solid propellant. Since this weak you can also use 7 grains configurations: end burner moon burner star finocyl c slot hollow cylinder rod and tube Enjoy

Finocyl, star and end burner grain now available on METEOR

Hi, First, best wishes for the new year. Today I publish a new version of METEOR. You can now use many different grains configuration (hollow cylinder, finocyl, star and end burner). Let me remind you that: you can also use your own propellant. export the motor result in RASP format (to use...

    Horizon rocket and stability

It was an home made sugar motor F68. The apogee was 210m with a top speed of 215 km/h.

    Horizon rocket and stability

Hi, Today was the first launch. The flight was really straight. Just one problem with the ejection system, the parachute didn't go out. The nose cone and one fin are broken. Thank you for your advice

    METEOR : new grain configuration

Hi everyone, I decided to work on METEOR to add new grain configuration. Can you help me with this poll? I will prioritize the new configuration based on the poll results.

    Horizon rocket and stability

I plan to use expoxy. About the print direction, I have printed it verticaly, so the layers are perpendicular to the launch direction.

    Horizon rocket and stability

Yes this is carbon fiber. When you say the binding, it's between the tube and the guide?

    Horizon rocket and stability

Maybe you can give me another advice, about the launch lug. I read some post on this forum about that, but I'm having a hard time getting an idea. I planned to use that as launch rail : For my launch lug I have 3D print this part (8cm long): I want to glue only one launch lug at the CG. Do...

    Horizon rocket and stability

I can't do that easily beacause I glued the part that maintain the parachute.

    Horizon rocket and stability

Hi, I recently finished my new home made rocket. I have use Openrocket for the first time to check is everything is OK. I read in the "Handbook of model rocketry" that one-calidber is enough and 2 to 3 caliber can be overstable. I found a stability of 1.94 caliber. I think that it's...

Help requested about new app to design motor

Yes it's the average pressure in this example. This information is not present in Nakka file (I add it to help me on my motor design) but you can find the max chamber pressure see pressure sheet K18 (in MPa) or P18 (in PSI). For each iteration (around 900) of the computation, the optimum...

Help requested about new app to design motor

In my screenshot, I use the same example data as Nakka SRM. There are 2,812kg of propellant not 0,980kg. And It was a L1672 motor made by Nakka. When I post this screenshot you can't tweak the advance config. Here is the missing config : About the optimal nozzle expansion of 9.65, it the...

SLNG : my launch and flight controler

Few words to introduce my launch system. The aim was to have an autonomous rocket that can start and check all of their sytems (communication, ignition system, gps tracking and ejection charge). If anything goes wrong the rocket abort the launch process. I can also cancel the flight manually. If...

    RASP (.eng) export on METEOR

Hi, Today I have publish a new version of METEOR. You can export the result in RASP format to use it with OpenRocket or any compatible app.

    Meteor

Hi, I publish some updates this week. Now you can define burn rate data by pressure (see below). I have also update the computation program to reduce computation failure for low KN motors. Hope you will like

EDV : my black box project (altimeter, acceleration, yaw, pitch and roll)

Yes because on this flight I make a mistake. The sensor was set to 4g max, instead of 16g. :(

EDV : my black box project (altimeter, acceleration, yaw, pitch and roll)

According to the documentation (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1893) the barometric sensor can go up to 10km. About the gyro and the Acceleration sensor (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2472) the limitation is 16g. For the moment I can't test it with more enduring flight. If you want to test...
