    3D Printing Nose Cones

Yes in general. But if you have your settings dialed in correctly, a good print won't fail at the layer lines. You can get it to where the material itself fractures and not have it fail at the layer lines.

    3D Printing Nose Cones

What size nozzle are you using? If it's .2mm then it's not ideal to have three walls. If it's .4mm then it should be quite strong with three walls. More likely than not if you fix your printers layer issues, there should be no problem using three walls (assuming it's not a hpr). I can help fix...

It's arduino based. So far I have the system just under $35 and as small as I could get it (2.5 inch x .9 x 1.14 inch on the rocket side) without antenna.

    Odd C6-5's

Yup, I once opened a really old kit and it had those white nozzles. They performed the same as the current ones.

After considering my options, I have decided that I would instead, make a build thread for my GPS trackers once its nearly finalized. I just received all the parts I need for them so I will start on it once my semester ends. The only parts I may plan to sell are the 3D printed enclosure/mount...

    A simple Estes question.

True, I forgot that they were the same as the Estes motor casing. They're an inch long I believe.

    A simple Estes question.

They're the E to D spacers. Rocketarium has them.

Will do! I'm also using LoRa but not quite completey familiar with it. Any extra info is always helpful.

Oh I see now. I use two GPS coordinates. One for my location and the other one for the rocket. With that I can find the bearing of the rocket every second or so and display it on the screen with an arrow. At least for the moment I can just take out a compass and follow the arrow or plug in the...

I have mine set up to just keep sending it's position whether there is someone looking for it or not. If it's out of range you'll get a general idea of where it's at and once you get close enough it picks up it's signal again. Is that what you mean?

Brand names that have become generic terms.

    Definitely Sharpie

Wow! wish I had bumped into your thread sooner! It was exactly what I needed a few weeks ago. Thanks for the links and info.

Thats right! The parts are relatively inexpensive by themselves. I planned on having it fully assembled and enclosed. Thanks for the info, I havent thought about that. I'll have to do more research to see if its in compliance with FCC rules.

Thats a good point. I have little knowledge about the legality of selling something like this. Would you mind if you were to point me in the right direction to do this right? If there is no way around an FCC certification this idea may go nowhere since I dont have the funds for it.

    Interested in cheap GPS trackers?

Hello! I am new to this forum but not new at rocketry. I searched around the site but just could not find something like this. Pardon me if I might have missed it or if its the wrong place to post this. After investigating the different methods of tracking for my level 2 rocket, I came to the...
