What did you do rocket wise today?

LOC Bruiser EXP on an L875DM. Launched at QCRC field in Princeton, IL. My thanks to the club and Eric C. for reviewing my project for when I go for L3 at LDRS 39.

Issue loading fuel slugs in phenolic liner on a 75mm L875DM-P DMS

Yes, you're right. They are called grains. I guess 'slugs' sounds a little crude. But I did peel off the outer layer cardboard the the fuel grains went in smoothly. Thanks.

Issue loading fuel slugs in phenolic liner on a 75mm L875DM-P DMS

Thanks. It was easy to do and the fuel slugs slid into the liner with no problem. It was 'fun' seating the o-ring in the groove between the aluminum forward closure and the case. The o-ring would bulge up as I tried to get the last pushed into the groove. But perseverance and two big tongue...

Issue loading fuel slugs in phenolic liner on a 75mm L875DM-P DMS

Trying to assemble my 75mm L875DM-P DMS motor. The fuel slugs start to bind up in the phenolic liner before the first one is half way in. Has anyone had the same issue with this motor? Has anyone lightly sanded the cardboard around the slugs to get them to fit better or use silicone lube...

    Reinforcing LOC payload coupler

So, the LOC coupler used for payload to motor section sometimes starts to fray and get easily stuck in the motor section. How do you smooth out the coupler and keep it like new flight after flight? Thanks, James Shaw St. Joseph, MI

Pressure Relieving Holes for LOC 7.6" Diameter Rockets?

Thanks for the prompt and detailed response. I agree with your assessment that I shouldn't need a pressure relieving hole but a 3/16" hole could do no harm.

Pressure Relieving Holes for LOC 7.6" Diameter Rockets?

How big and how many holes should I drill thru a LOC VII motor and payload tubes to prevent separation prior to apogee?

    LOC-VII anyone got one?

Thanks for the prompt reply. Ran Thrustcurve and think that a K535W with delay set to 8 seconds looks like a good first flight to about 1800 feet. Course the L1000W with 10 sec delay should send it up 3400 feet!

    LOC-VII Build Thread

Yep. Just finished mine - best xmas present ever!! Your build thread is very comprehensive and helpful. I launch at Three Oaks in SW Michigan. Might not be painted and ready for March 9th, but April 26 is looking good. I posted earlier about motor selection with data for delays. Anybody have...

    LOC-VII anyone got one?

Just finished building my LOC VII and waiting for warmer weather to prime and paint. What a beast!! Definitely a big K for first launch. Does anyone have a 54mm motor sheet for this rocket with appropriate delays for single chute deployement?
