    AMW purple parrot rocket

Yes I checked out your thread. I am building a similar rocket to see if I can get any higher than you did. I was surprised that you felt surface finish was such a significant element; I would assume if one simply flow coated the tube with a bit of thin epoxy it would be adequate, with some...

What did you do rocket wise today?

You basically want to totally ignore the templates that come with the thing. You will be better off measuring it up yourself or doing some clay impressions or something. Or buy the blackrrow kit, which has some switches and the holes precut.

Looks like it to me. Good shot!

What did you do rocket wise today?

Just follow the instructions. You wont have any problems if you have gotten this far. Be sure to epoxy it down on the sides when you are done.

Ok so just mount the logger in the LCD case and hook up to the bluetooth header? I will look into it. Thanks, Karl

    Eggfinder "waiting for fix" indications

Well this worked very well for the L1 cert flight on Saturday. We pretty much walked right up to the rocket, after losing complete sight of it on an H115 (Simmed to 4600 ft but I didn't run an altimeter). I knew roughly what direction it went but it landed 1380 feet off the end of the flight...

Please Review the NSL Web Page if You are Coming! (or thinking about it!)

Congrats to ROC and NAR for a super job getting many, many rockets launched safely and predictably (for the most part). Thanks to all the volunteers for making it happen. There were times on Saturday when I could not feel ANY wind - really nice flying conditions. The commitment and flexibility...

Falcon 54 extreme minimum diameter build

Will that fit in a 38mm tube by chance?

    Eggfinder "waiting for fix" indications

Ok C means course. The arrow shows which way to turn to achieve the course. D must be distance. T and R I have no idea. I should think course and distance would be sufficient?

Falcon 54 extreme minimum diameter build

Sq12 leaps to mind. Anyone try one?

Princeton University attempt at a suborbital space shot?

It would be cool if the team or the media would list all the things that went right, just to educate people. Did they really have no recovery devices on any of it though?

Falcon 54 extreme minimum diameter build

Those little mobius ones are maybe $70 on Amazon. Or the 808 keychain one; they have a 1080p one now. Are you aiming it sideways through the wall?

Mac Performance Median 54mm (29mmt) Build

All this internal fillet stuff seems to be more about recovery than flight, right? Guys are flying 29mm tubes with surface mount fins well above mach.

    Smallest altimeter?

Seems like the altimeter 4 isnt going to happen then?

    CJ's Wildman New 4 inch V-2 build/instructions

Apparently it will go to 17k feet or so on an L motor. Stability drops to 1.1 at the mach transition, but other than that it looks ok. Mach 2.2. Perhaps I should try to do finsim on it.

    CJ's Wildman New 4 inch V-2 build/instructions

I think an eggfinder trs, mount in the nose with the chute, and a jolly logic chute release, biggest motor that will fit and call it good. Not sure if all that will easily fit.

    pml ariel level 1 build

Yes there is a problem with the thrustcurve link In The app. I tried to find it on github and change it to the updated link, but havent had any luck.

    CJ's Wildman New 4 inch V-2 build/instructions

Seems like the motor can extend into the nose. Sure it isnt minimum diameter, but that should go up a long way and the 4 fins should keep it stable.
