Scrolling through my email I see Estes wanted my vote to help decide their next kit, the Vega-C or ARIANE 5. I don’t build many Estes products anymore but occasionally one has the potential for mods. I selected the link thinking I’d get to see tube diameters, lengths, motor diameter, etc…...

I have a Prairie Twister that doesn’t seem to “cut it” (sorry for that) but seriously I can’t get it to cut a zip tie even when I pack it full of 4F powder. I’ve thought of milling one end to something of an edge as both sides are blunt. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance. Philip

Finished my 2nd Talon 2 Sunday… my 1st didn’t survive AirFest a few yrs ago but I poached the usable parts and waited… took the necessary organs from fresh graves…I mean ordered the necessary pieces from GLR and waited for one of the hottest days of the year to paint.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for a T&E Rocket for checking out electronics, etc? I was thinking 24 or possibly 29 mm, at least 2.6 diameter or as big as 4, simple construction - 3/4FNC, 4 fins is a + for more drag and lower flights. Any thoughts. I kinda like the 2.6 T-Loc which...

Anyone care to guess why my 850 mah battery is smoking when I connect it to my tracker... it also appears to have fused my 1st switch. I’m using 20 ga. wire and a Missile Works T3 if that helps.

Anyone have a problem with the Mojave Green G78 single use “deploying” about 150ft after launch? Batch # 030519... Lost my North Coast Rocketry Hobgoblin (Fire) and set a bit of pasture on fire as well. Motor sputtered a great deal before and after ejection. Regards Philip
