Would confetti work as wadding, and double as tracking powder?

Our boy scouts are using orange Chalk line powder to show up against gray sky. It is amazing how well it works. They fold about two heaping tablespoons of it into Estes wad paper and it is put in after they put in the regular number of sheets then the pack and then the parachute.

    Easter Theme

Ya Sandy, themed rockets only have a limited life launch time. Kinda hope this one will fade away in a month or two.

    c6-7 CATO

I've had several CATO's with Estes engines of every size, B, C, D, and loads of E's. Here is a couple of recent 18mm sized engine CATO's.

Fingernail Polish to toughen-up Estes Igniters????

Some of the guys in our Canada club take the booster motors and hammer out the engine compound, then use a mortar and pestle to crush it into fine powder, then use clear nail polish to "Wet" the crappy igniters and dip them into the powder and let them dry. They now have a great igniter and no...

Which Rockets Seem to Break Most Easily?

I made these and sell them to the guys in my club, and on eBay. Their made out of hard resin and are the same weight as the capsule and escape tower from Estes.

    Decline of Estes, again.

Look at this company in Europe, they use good reliable FUSE to launch rockets.

    Republic-Ford JB-2 "Buzz Bomb"

Engine was not on the top that was a fake casting to look like the German motor that powered the real one. My rocket engine was inside the main body. And no it never did fly right, even after adding clear plastic "Fins", it was just too unstable. I gave up on it. If you find a way to get this...

Beware of FB Marketplace "N. Canterbury" He got me for $80.00

So true, both political parties lie and pretend to care about the citizens and the country but all they care about is getting richer. What we need to happen is the scenario of the TV show "Designated Survivor" to really clean out those SOB's.

Beware of FB Marketplace "N. Canterbury" He got me for $80.00

You will find that $80 isn't much to even put two hours worth of investigative work on. No law Enforcement agency will waste valuable and now limited resources on such a low cost crime. I had $155. in credit card fraud, no police or FBI cared. Said it was too small to bother with. Had an...

Anyone still having E engines explode

Have launched 96 rockets with Estes "E" engines and have had several CATO's (12 out of 96). Also a few with "C" engines. I wish I had photo's of them all. Have had over a dozen rockets blown apart with "E"s and 4 with "C"S all engines bought from Hobby Lobby.

Custom rocket paint job & custom decal photos

No not at all, the effort put forth to paint it shows that the builder is proud of it. Pink, green, primer only anything is something that shows at least they made an attempt to do a "Finish" to show it is Finished to all viewers. To my thinking an unpainted or undecorated rocket is like...

Custom rocket paint job & custom decal photos

Even NASA and race cars are painted up to show the builders have pride in their build. IMO not painting is an insult to the designers.

Custom rocket paint job & custom decal photos

Great paint job and design features. Love to see fully decked out rockets hate seeing them bare in the raw, just shows that the builder was lazy and doesn't have any pride in his project. You did one of the best jobs I've seen in a long time !
