I built a scratch rocket that used Skyripper hybrid motors. I used the tapped closure and an eyebolt to secure the lower recovery harness. The rocket flew great but experienced an airframe failure during recovery sometime. The tube seems to have split along the spirals right at the eyebolt...

I got one for a scratch build but it occurred to me that I've never used one. :) I bought a screw eye to attach it to the rest of the recovery gear. I was just going to drill a pilot hole and screw it in. Maybe with a little epoxy. Anything to watch out for? A better way? :)

I have some tubes that I would like to build a rocket with that is 2" ID. I have always used standard parts, so I could just buy the right sizes. I know BMS can make me CRs and a nose cone, but does anyone have a source for couplers for this size tube?
