I use, and can recommend, Dupli-Color Sandable Primer that I purchase at a local auto parts store (O'Reilly in my area). It is user friendly and sands well. Available in various colors although I have used only the grey primer.

In deference to Chris_H, I have been using CA from Satellite City (caglue.com) for over forty years. Good stuff. Check it out. Replaceable caps, applicators,etc. The adhesive has been very consistent over the years

Hi Scrigs. For lightweight color you might consider using Design Master Colortool spray. I get mine at Michaels craft stores. It really does add very little weight. I have used it on my freeflight aircraft, particularly tip launch and catapult gliders. Here's a link to the Design Master...
