"The steel U bolt was flattened", wow that's some serious force (and obviously pressure).

Orion Ascent Abort Test... Little Joe 3?

I think that is entirely disproportionate. The telephoto effect makes the LAS look way too big.

Orion Ascent Abort Test... Little Joe 3?

Pretty smooth finish. Still no steering nozzles, but it can’t be perfect. Very nice.

    My Jawstand build

I have some spare tent stakes that I use. Sometimes the ground is pretty hard though so I always have a claw hammer available.

38 CTI motor fail this one is a mystery. Help

Hey Tom Keith, I too am considering making a L2 attempt with MDRA some time in May or June. Perhaps we’ll see each other at the Sod Farm. Later, Tom

38 CTI motor fail this one is a mystery. Help

There is a new bulletin published by CTI just recently (April 15, 2019) strongly recommending a modification trimming the “ignition pellet” in half (actually 40%) because their 3rd party manufacturer made the pellets incorrectly. I’ve got 3 G60s that I will need to modify at the range before...

Looking for volunteers to test a new altimeter

Russ, can the RF connection remain during flight, or is it only before and after flight while the rocket and iOS device are stationary? It sounds like the latter, but I would love to see real time data. Tom

    My Jawstand build

I'd like a few more photos. I'm sitting here looking at mine (just picked it up from Home Depot), and while I like the general idea, there seem to be lots of different methods to use it. The first problem that I questioned was how to attach the 1010. I saw the photo of the carriage bolt and I...

Sold 3D PRINTED FIN CAN FOR LOC BT2.56

I’m now thinking that I could use a fly-away guide, but that doesn’t answer your question. Here are a couple images I took a little while ago, and they don’t help extensively because they are on a 3” body tube. In answer to you question I think I could live with a 0.1” to 0.125” spacing if you...

Sold 3D PRINTED FIN CAN FOR LOC BT2.56

Lately I've been using the extruded 1010 aluminum rail guides (see image below), not sure of exact dimensions, but I've used 1010 Apogee buttons before too.
