Composite Warehouse: I've got to eat a little crow

I had 3-4 successful purchases followed by a failure to ship for months, and then hitting my card even though I'd selected don't charge until ready to ship, and generating a label but not shipping anything until I was in the last days of being able to dispute it. I told him I was kind of...

    Balsa Machining Services

Heh, we use their stuff for 4H projects and we have built so many of those 3" school rockets it's crazy. But yes, always great service and quality out of BMS.

Found Info on the new Der Big Red Max (9721)

My scale that can go high enough to weigh the nose cone only has gram accuracy but it's reading 96g.

Found Info on the new Der Big Red Max (9721)

Oh, it's clearly a cost saving move, I just don't buy that one symbol being particularly Nazi associated.

The balkenkreuz dates back to towards the end of WW I.

I forget his handle on here, perhaps somebody will chime in, but his website is https://www.vander-burn.com He has plywood upgrades for the current PS II kits and clones of out of production PS II kits and the occasional upscale.

Toby also has plywood upgrades for the current lineup at very reasonable prices. I imagine he'll do it for the 3" as well.

Mach 1 lack of return email/messages

They've shut down before to catch up with orders. The situation isn't ideal but it's better than some of the alternatives for sure.

    Wildman Holiday sales

It's always an issue with these pre-order sales. Oh, I'll just throw in one more thing, I'll use it sometime this year I'm sure. And then that last thing is the holdup.

    FlightSketch Products for 2020

Going fast. It was 300 when the sale started.

    Wildman Holiday sales

If you buy motors that are pre-ordered historically it would take a long time to get them (months and months potentially) but this year with fewer launches it shouldn't be too bad. Won't be "fast" though.

    wooden range box?

If you want a wood box get a wood box. You'll be the classiest flyer at the field. I'm just trying to reassure poor David that it isn't a requirement or anything and that he was right that most people use regular ol' tackle boxes or similar.

    wooden range box?

So toss your ematches into an anti static bag or similar.
  18. E

    wooden range box?

N No, absolutely not. Not only is a plastic toolbox not going to cause a static situation but people have done tests with black powder and static in general isn't going to set it off. I'm part of the muzzleloading community and it's an area of some concern (people buying 50 pounds of powder...

    K550 Minimum delay?

There's a lot of not very aerodynamic rockets that don't go crazy high on a J and aren't so massive that you absolutely have to have redundancy. 4" LOC Goblin, Fiber Max, that sort of thing.

Revision to Tripoli Rule Regarding Wireless Remote Switches

I think everybody does at least some powering up of the system, enough to check continuity, at various stages in the prep process. Hopefully well away from anybody else.
