    Thinking of kitting my designs

I've only made 4 rockets of my own design (with lots more drawn up but never built) but over the years I've had quite a few comments from folks I fly with that they'd be interested in buying my designs in kits and they think others would as well. After the most recent comment at my clubs monthly...

MythBusters "First Rocketeer" this Wednesday night

You do know this is a television show for entertainment purposes, right? They don't present the show as being a "real lab" staffed by "professional scientists"...they're special effects workers who put on an entertaining program.

    Ares I-X

Oh I hope not. Because once that happens all you have to do is stick four conical shaped boosters and Ares is going to look like a scaled-up Soyuz. :(

    Ares I-X

Yeah, but it's 40 years old! Way to go, NASA, bringing us the latest in 1960s launch vehicle engineering.

    New iPod owner

Yeah I have two actually. My first was a 1st generation iPod Mini, 4GB capacity. Got that one in the summer of 2005 but the battery life is down to only about two hours at this point even on a full charge. As of a few weeks ago I am also the owner of a 2nd generation iPod Touch with 16GB. It is...

    Club Fundraising Ideas

So the South Jersey Area Rocketry Society has been on the hunt, for a couple years now, for an affordable trailer to keep and tote around all of our launch equipment but everything we keep finding is beyond our limit because if we purchased what we found it would completely empty the club...

    Another genius move by NASA

https://www.space.com/news/090429-orion-crew-slashed.html Way to go, NASA! (sarcastic) What's next? Do we have a few Apollo or Gemini capsules hanging around that we could just use instead? I mean, why bother building what you actually WANT to build when you're spending several billions of...

    RED GLARE 6! APRIL 17-18-19 2009.

VERY COOL! Thanks for the pictures. Wish I could have hung around a little longer, but I had a concert to get to.

    RED GLARE 6! APRIL 17-18-19 2009.

Can anyone tell me how the flight of that styrofoam cup rocket went on Saturday? Unfortunately I had to leave just as that rocket made its way to the RSO table, so anyone have any photos or news of the flight result? If it even flew, that is.

    RED GLARE 6! APRIL 17-18-19 2009.

Well thanks a lot, Dan! Now I have to skip school AND work to go down on Friday because Stan's trying his L2 and now the Fuzzy Bee is going Mach!

NAR Rules - Steel BB's for nose cone weight?

As long as you get the proper amount of weight the material is pretty much irrelevant. We've got a guy in my club who uses rice and barley as his nose weight in his scratch built stuff.

    Sirius Radio

I'm a huge fan of Sirius. I have an hour commute to school and I get a little tired of the same music over and over either on my iPod or regular radio, so I decided to go with Sirius. I mostly got it for the comedy channels, but over the past few months I've gotten addicted to the political talk...

    Altimeter Suggestion

I don't think someone wanting to make sure their bases are covered will promote sloppy work. From my experiences I've learned that anyone who does sloppy work does so habitually and there's little that's going to change that. Whether they have a fool-proof system or one that's a little iffy...
