Sold 'The Eagle' CO2 Deployment kit by Tinder Rocketry

Bought this and did not really need it. It worked, but it is more complex than I needed, so I removed it. It works just fine, everything in excellent condition. Only fired a few times. Comes with 18 CO2 cartridges, I think 130g? That is what is says on the cartridges. Also a few smaller...

    Rocket Poxy Review

I do not. I did some initial testing of Rocketpoxy, and decided that it was not my cuppa. I do not know what would make me want to use Rocketpoxy for fillets, at this point. Never say never, but.... I believe there is a formula for figuring an ideal radius for fillets, IIRC, it is 6% - 8% of...

    Rocket Poxy Review

Ummm.... I thought I said that?? Is that not what 'Whatever works for you', means? Sorry for offending you...... I was speaking from my experience. I bought some Rocketpoxy, used it, and the rest of the containers will probably sit until they get tossed, unless maybe some random...

    L2 cert approach

100% And I have no interest in learning motor delays. It is a different game. Much respect to those who do. Completely different game. Electronics make sense to me. I would not have entered into HPR if it were all motor delay.. Electronic control is part of the draw.

4" Fiberglass 75mm motor mount recommendations needed

Jim Catz is a low flying weenie!!!! Sorry Jim, but if you had not crapped all over my initial L1 and L2 flight plans, recommending to stay nearest the Earth, with the smallest, simplest designs, maybe I would not rib you. Remember, you said that my redundant dual deploy L1 flight was...

    L3 MMT choice

Whatever is your airframe diameter, always max out the MMT, short of min. dia. if this is a kit. 4" airframe should have a 75mm minimum. 6" airframe should have 98mm.

    Rocket Poxy Review

Nah... no thanks. I like the Aeropoxy options. Structural epoxies with fillers. Used the aeropoxy once, the rest is destined for the bin. I work with numerous epoxies, so take that into consideration. Some folks like Rocketpoxy. Not me. I can do all the fillets in one session with the...

    L2 cert approach

L1 rocket would only fly on a very few (one) L1 motor, an I600. It was a redundant dual deploy that was built to L3 spec, aside from a 54mm motor tube. L2 is the same bird, which, got rebuilt into a 75mm motor mount that can fly a 5120 motor. No significant changes to electronics. Final L3...

    98mm Min-Diameter Composite Mach 3 Build

This... A quality polished automotive urethane is good to at least mid M2 unscathed. A near perfect finish will give more altitude, also. I am not sure where it will begin to fail because of heating, but somewhere past M2.5 if you do a good job. To reiterate.. perfect in the filler primer...

    Reno RV Rentals

Most of the rental companies have GPS transponders in their rental units. There are some who will rent for trips to the playa. 'Burners' are a market, so the product exists. Trying to lie about where you might go is not a good idea.

Canadian Level 4 Certification Build - Ultimate Wildman

I just flew my L3 with an Ultimate Wildman this past weekend. I used 2 x 2-56 pins for the booster, 4 x 4-40 for the nosecone. My shakedown flight went perfectly. The first attempt, I blew the main at apogee. Made some changes, and the second attempt worked.

    Help Fixing Ugly Fillets

For cleaning up ugly fillets, grind them down however you see fit, into freshly abraded old fillet, just below the new finished radius, and all of it abraded, and then use the method I mentioned above. Or, whatever else feels right for you. Continuing learning is the path...

    Help Fixing Ugly Fillets

Aeropoxy laminating epoxy, mixed with some colloidal silica and some high density adhesive filler, makes great fillets. Enough of the colloidal silica and also the high density filler, that it has plenty of 'hang' to do all three or four sets at once. Pull with whatever your pulling tool is...

    Found 1/8" 12 x 24 sheets of plywood

Call a marine ply supplier. You can find some good ply there, possibly. No voids allowed in structural marine grade plywood.
