Many times it is difficult for us to just leave things as they are. What are some of your mods or upgrades to the standard Estes kits? I apologize in advance if this question has already been posted. One of mine is upgrading to a 3x18mm motor mount in the Big Bertha. From plans in sport...

    Getting the fins on straight?

I have had good results with the Estes tube marking set. Love the base for laying out the fin spacing. Also I sometimes use pieces of wall molding material notched big enough for the fin thickness to hold them in place while the glue sets.

    Another one bites the dust.....

After returning to the hobby and going through my supply of motors I found that I had a couple of roadrunner G80’s. I was disappointed to see they are listed as de certified for sport use. I found it interesting that it was only the G80 and not some of the others.

    LOC Precision new 1.9" Blaster

Makes me wonder if they will be selling components in this size. Might make a good way to repair my Aerotech Cheetah. I like loc tubing

There is a lot to be said for low power.

Rocketry itself has so many aspects and many of them reside in the LPR range. So much to explore and keep you busy for years. For example right now I am interested in clustering in the LPR range. A year from now it could be competition or gliders. I still enjoy mid and high power though to be sure

    New Way Steamliner

I just seen this line of rockets today. They had a skyscraper rocket that looked real fun. Their rockets seem pretty well priced too. That steampunk rocket would turn some heads at a launch.
