    Quest/Aerotech Composite LPR Motors

I don't really care about the A and B motors but the I am very interested in the C motors. Quest has a few rockets that fly on C engines (Penetrator, Triton-X, Q4C) that would really benefit from more zip than an Estes C6. In particular, Penetrator could really use a D motor...

    Space-X Falcon 9

I have two of them. Flown both with D12, E9 and E12. My first one survived an E9 CATO. I like how it builds. For some reason it is one of my favs. FYI I suggest a stronger/thicker chute cord than what is supplied.

    I am Worried About Estes

This comment is exactly what I mentioned earlier. A personal attack that is childish and well beneath what I believe this group is capable of. I am not trolling. I am not 12 years old. I am not pissed. As I mentioned earlier in this thread I have a enough rocket kits to last the rest of my...

    I am Worried About Estes

I have been following the Estes "specials" page religiously for the past 18 to 20 months. At one point it was five pages long with many great deals. It is currently down to four items (not four pages) with no meaningful offers. I am trying to find a "positive" in this but I can't. I suppose...

    I am Worried About Estes

I am an early riser. I get up around 430 to 530 every morning. During the summers of 2016 and 2017 I was working a job that was primarily afternoons and evenings. Having the mornings to myself, it was not uncommon for me to launch 10 to 12 flights, four to five days per week. Minnesota is...

    I am Worried About Estes

I have been through much of this. I fly on a small field which is fairly close to MSP airport. City park board tried to kick us out of the park but they couldn't legally do it because the park is a few hundred feet outside of the MSP airport five mile "no fly" zone. Our park is within the five...

    I am Worried About Estes

All great points but I have a feeling that the business may in fact be running at a loss. They certainly don't appear to be spending any money to grow it...

    I am Worried About Estes

I had a bunch of errands to run this morning so I decided to include some "rocketry recon" while I was out and about. I made three stops: 1. Hub Hobby in Richfield, MN. A very large and local hobby store with a big section devoted to Estes. There was not a single small E, large E or F motor to...

    I am Worried About Estes

Trust me, I hope everything is OK at Estes. I have a great deal of time and money invested in LPR and to a lesser degree MPR. I am looking forward to another season of flying. Currently I have about a dozen rockets in my build pile. I need to purchase a boatload of B through D engines...

    I am Worried About Estes

Adding to this, what happened to the Pro Series E2X rockets? Maybe it is because Estes is no longer building motors to support them??? I love this hobby but I think certain people need to wake up and realize that this great hobby is headed for big changes.

I don't agree. Prove your statement.

    I am Worried About Estes

I have more rockets than I will ever be able to build or fly in the remainder of my lifetime. My concern (and the reason I started this thread) is the availability and affordability of A through D motors. I fly on small a small field so E and F engines are only important when I attend Tripoli...

    I am Worried About Estes

Poor availability of Estes big E and F engines with 4 or 6 second delays is not new. It's been discussed here since late last summer. I can think of at least two threads on the topic (I started one of them). I emailed Estes Customer service about it and received a very vague response.

Extremely vague and highly off topic. Try harder.

    I am Worried About Estes

Which catalog? The 2016 version? Many of the rockets depicted in that catalog are no longer available and haven't been replaced.... Once again, I wish I shared your optimism but I don't.

    I am Worried About Estes

I am concerned about the financial health of Estes. They ran out of big E-F motors and they don't appear ready to produce any. Their parent company filed for bankruptcy. New model introductions have slowed down to a boring crawl. Now I noticed their "Specials" page has been reduced to almost...

    Estes 24 & 29 mm BP motors (E-F) Availability

I exchanged emails with Estes customer service about a month ago. They were rather brief but got the impression they were aware of the shortages. I was told it would be spring before they produced Big E and F motors again. Unfortunately the HLs around the Twin Cities don't carry a very good...

2017 Estes catalog in pdf form, sort of

I fly on a small field and over the past 20 months and I am guessing I have done about 100 launches with C-11's. I have found them to be a very reliable and predictable motor. Orange Crush, Eliminator and in particular Show Stopper fly very well with C-11's.

    New to Mid power

On the topic of cancer, Quest came out with an E2X rocket called "Quest for the Cure" or Q4C. The nose cone and fin can are pink. Bellevue Hobby has them in stock. I bought two of them.
