Just out of curiosity, did you check the dip switch settings on the units as described On page 17 of the user manual. Hopefully it is something that easy.

Featherweight GPS. Have used multiple times, always walked right to the rocket. Last launch someone launched a rocket a mile away and landed in a tree. Walked right to it. Apple device only.

The way I configured my e-bay for this rocket was to put an RRC3 in the bay and my tracker in the nose cone. ymmv. Hope this helps.
