I need to fill motors up to a 54mm 30” long. Will the 1/8 “ or 1/2” do it in a reasonable time. I fly 29mm and 54mm motors.

Did you add any nose weight for the F44 or was it ok without?

I finally flew my Quake with an Aerotech D15. The CG was 1.3 caliber’s with that motor. The rocket flew as strait as an arrow to about 600 feet with a good recovery. If you fly on an E or F motor you will need weight in the nose or make the rocket longer.

The Rocket flew great with the SRS H78. The outside temperature was about 60 degrees and the tank pressure was right at 700 psi. Now to fly the SRS 54mm motors that I have. The ABS fuel grain is 38 grams new and after the flight it weighs 25 grams So it used 13 grams of ABS.

What is the lowest pressure that you should fly a hybrid at? I have some old SkyRipper hybrids but my club can only fly in the winter here in North Alabama. Even though this week had 80 degree temperatures it is always barely above 60 degrees during the one time a month we have a launch.

Anyone have problems with the CG being to far back with a D or larger motor?

Where did you find the aluminum N20 cartridges In the USA? I had thought about trying one of these micro hybrids but can fly because of the steel.

I found on one of my fiberglass rockets that the gas would leak so I put masking tape around the coupler/eBay and nose cone so that it was a tight fit even though I am using a shear pin. Ground test so that you get it to separate good.

Are the lower cost valves on your site yet? How much?

Put them in a bucket of water with salt mixed in. Leave them outside for a couple of weeks. The lipo will discharge to 0 volts and then they can be put in the trash. The salt also breaks down the Lithium. They are not bad for the environment like Nicads etc.

I have printed ABS fuel grains for my SRS 29mm motors and 54mm. I use 100% infill and the grains weigh the same as a factory grain. I have tested the 29mm grains 2 times so far and they work great. I do have thrust curves and they look just like the curves that TMT shows.

Time to invest in more hybrids And 3D print ABS fuel grains. Nitrous right now is $7 a pound.
