    Charger for Featherweight GPS?

Can anyone who has a Featherweight comment on what charger they use and if this seems like a good charger? The charger on the Featherweight website does not provide a readout for current voltage and I don't see a way to use it to charge the battery to the proper long-term storage charge (~40%)...

Has Anyone Successfully Downloaded AeroCFD or AeroFinSim Recently (2015-2016)?

OpenRocket has an ability to enter fin cant, and then you can see how apogee is affected.

    Klima Andromeda Build Thread

Did you get to launch it yet? This is one of my favorite rockets - extremely well designed and flies really nicely!

I recreated the Artemis I launch using the Estes SLS (Video)

Very cool! Have you sorted out the fins yet?

I recreated the Artemis I launch using the Estes SLS (Video)

Way back before Artemis I launch attempt #1, I took some high-speed shots of my Estes SLS. Now that NASA (finally) launched the real Artemis I, I synced up the launch audio with the shots I filmed of my model rocket version. Enjoy! And of course NASA had to launch at night... whatever, I guess...

    Apogee Aspire Supersonic Video

The next largest field is about two hours away... so I'm a bit limited with options. Basically I watch the weather forecast like a hawk and look for mornings with no wind, then use dual-deploy or streamer recovery. But sometimes it doesn't work out...

    Apogee Aspire Supersonic Video

The Aspire with an F or G motor has always been a "fire-and-forget" rocket for me, unfortunately. Like you said, trackers add a lot of weight (relative to the rocket's weight) and therefore require motors with a greater impulse. But if you use a motor with a peak thrust that's too high, you'll...

    Apogee Aspire Supersonic Video

I put together a video of my third and final attempt to launch a supersonic Apogee Aspire. I guess transonic is *technically* the most accurate description but supersonic has a better ring to it! I lost the rocket in tall grass, and therefore lost the altimeter, but I found I could do a lot...

    Beveling/airfoiling required for supersonic flight?

Haven't measured them myself yet, but the Rocksim file has them as 0.062" thickness. They're quite thin.

    Beveling/airfoiling required for supersonic flight?

"Rough" drops it to 872 mph for square cross-section fins. The figures in the table were for polished.

    Beveling/airfoiling required for supersonic flight?

Looking to start on a Wildman Blackhawk 29 and aiming for ~900 mph maximum velocity. I've beveled/airfoiled my fins in the past for flights at this speed, but it's a pain to do by hand and it's always tough to get consistent results. Out of curiosity, I simmed different fin cross-sections in...

    Fullboost Launch System?

Not too much info on this - how well does the Fullboost launch system from Pratt work with FirstFire igniters? Looking to launch a single H motor. The alternative would be a Go Box with a 12V car jump starter.

    Christmas Saturn V

It would certainly make it a challenge to unscrew the retainer ring with the nozzles attached... that looks like a tight clearance. May also throw off CG a bit. But... it may work.

    Proline or JB Weld?

I can't find as much information about the Proline epoxy as JB Weld. For example, I live in a colder climate, and am wondering if storing this epoxy in my garage this winter will shorten its lifespan? I will be waiting for warmer weather before using it.

    Proline or JB Weld?

Have you had problems with parts fracturing upon hard landings with JB weld?

    Proline or JB Weld?

I just realized I left out an entire sentence... I'm looking to get a Wildman Blackhawk 29. I've used JB Weld in the past (the original as well as Clear weld)

    Proline or JB Weld?

I'm thinking of buying one of these, and I see that the recommended adhesive is "Proline Black Hi-Temp Epoxy." I've never used it before. How does this compare to JB weld? And can it be used to tack the fins as well as create the fillets?

Apogee Zephyr Build/Level 1 Cert Project

The Zephyr is an awesome rocket - I got my Level 1 cert on it!

Used a paint pen for roll patterns

So, I meant to upload a picture of MY Saturn V, but I accidentally uploaded a screenshot of someone else's that I was using as a reference while I painted mine, and now I can't delete it. THIS one is MY Saturn V...

    Anyone use a painting service?

For those of us stuck in apartments, paint fumes can be a nightmare. The weather can also wreak havoc when trying to find a day to paint. So, has anyone brought their rocket to a painting service to be painted? I was watching a video from a guy in the U.K. who did this... I didn't know these...
