    Mini Midwest Power 2016

Adrian was close by. He seems to be a homing beacon for rockets. My nose cone landed right next to him

    Wildman 4" Dink ?

Considering 1" Kevlar has a tensile strength of nearly 40 tons, you could suspend some smaller tanks from that width too! Abrams might be a little heavy. You may need 2 straps.

    Wildman 4" Dink ?

Shhh! You will spook him. It's like groundhog day. If he gets spooked you have to wait until next year for a new rocket from Adrain.

    Estes Leviathan Build

The build is looking great! Big bits of glue, you can use a hobby knife. If you go too deep, use wood filler and sand. Smaller bits, use sand paper. I ditched the lugs for rail buttons for this particular kit, but I used both lugs and rail buttons for every other Estes PSII kit I have...

    Estes Leviathan Build

Mine comes in at 63.5" and total weight is 28 oz. That's what I ran the Sim on. Simmed both standard length and extended and adding nose weight just adds weight. A 6 grain XL leaves you with a score of 1.4 I think and w/o motor is is above 6. I fired mine on an H128W and H238T. The 128 put...

    Keeping track of builds

Remember, the general rule is 2 minutes per slide. Figure 5 builds, each with 5 or 6 slides, and then a futures section, you could easily bump that to 2 hours.

    Keeping track of builds

Microsoft project will create a PP for you for any project file! Complete with how many years of time the estimated completion will take!

    Estes Leviathan Build

What kind of pad? With the extension, mine comes in at 28 oz and I have it simming at 49 ft/s off a 5' Rail and a 650' Apogee. Even a 4' Rail shows 41 ft/s. Curious because I was thinking about using that motor for launches in the park with the kids to hold me over until club launches.

    Estes Leviathan Build

This is good advice. Also, Rex I had some coffee coming out of my nose at the woshing sounds comment! And yes, I have been known to make a wosh or two with a dry fit rocket. And since K'Tesh is showing off his Leviathan, here are a few pictures of mine. Like his, mine is extended but I can...

Pictures? If the wood glue set, you have a problem....

    QCRS 2016 Season

Oh you know I don't need any excuse for that! Just trying to plan (way) ahead on motor / rocket mixes. Erik gave me the idea to fly my Demon Sport on an I243 and then play the fun game of find the rocket. Just want to know if I can take the test before that or after when I am covered in mud.

    Estes Leviathan Build

Any damage? Mine both laid down really nice, even if it took me an hour to find the second launch.

    QCRS 2016 Season

Can't make the March launch, but want to see about getting certified in April. I know it is very early, but can someone give me the test(s) and sign off on it? Will be getting my TRA membership ahead of time and already have my NAR L1. Do I need to take both tests? Also, will I need to cert...

    Estes Leviathan Build

Strangely enough, the JL Alt 3 and Chute release were the reason why I built mine the way I did. Took the extra tube from a scion and made an extended dual deploy version. I wanted to use this kit to gear up for higher performance kits that need electronics, so mine is very overbuilt, but as...
