I just use a spent bp motor. Punch through the clay nozzle, slide down to the blast plate Cheap and easy.

I seal all my Avbay couplers with thinned epoxy.

Funny, I just watched that video last night. I was interested in the test paint of the Phoenix.

Estes Bullpup. Built stock. Flew it a bunch of times. Nocked a couple of fins loose, and the motor mount on a hard landing. Since it was kinda beat up, I changed to 24mm motor mount. Wasn't worried about losing it. Still going strong after 20 or so flights. Tough little bugger.

Sand it as smooth as you want, then seal it with a couple of coats of Polyurethane if you're not looking for glass like surface. Very durable. I usually just throw a piece of cardboard on top when doing messy stuff like epoxy. Otherwise, Masonite or 1/4" Melamine.

Yeah...that should be easy for a NEWBIE to do. Might as well throw out the Estes "Mighty Saturn V" on a D-12. Definitely Low and Slow. ;)
