Yes the napas site is in dire need of an upgrade. I sure hope someone reasonably close finds a field soon. Ive got a strongarm kit dying to be built.I hope to make the treck to a few of the more distant launches a couple times but It would be a drag if i couldnt fly my SA without having to drive...

Cool. any plans to bring back some of your fighter style kits? some of them are pretty sweet looking.

I found these foam fighters at my local dollar store for 2.00 each. 1/8 foam board all ready die cut. I thought it would be awesome to strap an 18mm motor too and let it fly. I got a couple, they had a bunch of styles. Even if I loose it im only out a couple bucks.

That is something i,ve never done.Sit down and total up the cost of a build,for any of my many hobbies. Nor do I keep tabs to total it up after the fact. For a very good reason, I dont want to know!!!:D

To me it makes it so much more awesome that you did it with a motor that you made yourself. I am very intrigued by the potential of simple sugar motors. Its a shame that they arent more widely accepted.After all every commercial motor we have available, was at one time considered experimental...

Here it is with some primer. The canopy was made from a TP tube. The baffle loaded and a plastic bushing inserted into the center hole for the chute cord. Here it is assembled and ready to install.

Its actually not a kit.(i guess i should have put it in the SB section).It is a very cool design though. A good blend of fighter jet and rocket.I,m waiting on a baffle kit and still sanding away on the canopy.Winter is back here, but I hope it will be gone by the time i,m ready to paint.

Ya they do look fairly chunky in the pics. I,m likely going to go with a fighter plane kind of paint scheme if i can find the right decals.

Gosh no just papered balsa.I weighed all the components before assembly. It comes in well under the max weight for the 24mm estes motors.

Here is my build so far. I don't think I will bother with the spikes on the end of the fins that are found on the original. I think they would just end up broken at some point. Just starting work on the canopy. Mmt was build to house my AT 24mm. I will likely go with a baffle ejection as well.
