Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy

mine didnt come with clay but got it shortly after it was released - heard it was unstable on the a-10 & saw one launched that was - I put about a 3-4 gram split shot sinker in the tip of the nose along with a decent amount of epoxy - probably 2 grams worth - flies great on the a-10

    Looking to get back in.

you can use up to 2 spacers so that will give you an idea of what cases you might want. I also like the CTI spacer system more than the aerotech. I am not aware of spacers for any 24mm cases so far. Since you are getting back in I would look at the CTI 29mm starter kit. you get the delay...

    ACE Epoxy Paint

you definitely want to follow those instructions on spray epoxies - even longer than recommended wont hurt or you risk cracking

here is a pershing-inspired one I need to finish up - bt 20, 13mm - calling it BlackJack. plan on the body being the green of the nose cone and 2-3 flourescent orange or yellow stipes so it will be close

    LPR engine options

are you looking for green or something beside BP? there are some D & E motors from aerotech but I think they are blue thunder & white lighting(maybe some black jack/black max avail too). there used to be some C sized ones from aerotech but I think they are OOP and were probably not green.

More than one size launch lug on a rocket?

wont hurt a thing - just a little extra drag - your rocket wont go quite so high - but you wont be able to tell the difference unless you are doing altitude or duration contests

    Bubba's Baby Bertha

Nothing really wrong with them - they are stick-on so they are thicker and dont lay as well as water-slide so some people dont like stick-on decals for that reason. the other minor quibble with the baby bertha decals is they are really plain - just those rectangle & name you can see on the...

    Airbrushing Air Sources

I use co2 tank - pretty portable - 20lb CO2 tank weighs about 50lb full, plus a lb or so for the regulator so lets say 50 lb so easy enough to move around. it should last a while. Not sure about how you can refill it from a compressor - somebody into scuba might know a way to use compressed...

    Bubba's Baby Bertha

recently finished it and only flown it twice but all three fired both times but then I am using an aerotech interlock launcher and a 12V auto jump pack so have lots of amps available - used estes ignitors both times.

Which DSLR Camera: Canon T3i or Nikon D5100?

canon vs nikon - that can be as bad as ford vs chevy - both are good - I would just go on price unless you have friends who have either nikon or canon & would let you borrow lenses

1/8in rod in estes e launcher?

you can also get 3/16" launch lugs & 3 or 4 ft 3/16" rod at hardware store - steel rod should only be a dollar or 2 & launch all using the 3/16" rod - slightly more drag but doesn't really matter if you & kid aren't competing for awards

Balsa Machining Services "Mighty D" versus Aerotech's "Interlock Controller"

I have the aerotech one and just looked at the other - both probably work fine - aerotech has longer stock cord, the mighty d looks more versatile in the long run

Sumo --- how big have you gone?

    13 mm Kits

i ordered the fliskit mercury several weeks ago - looks good but havent started it. Also have built a Red River red strike - I think they have a couple other 13mm models as does apogee. I like the red strike - it looks kinda like a jayhawk minus the forward fins/canard.
