Help with a Ham Radio Purchase?

And we wonder why the airwave are getting polluted, In the day that I got licensed There was still a morse code requirement, that of 5, 13 or 20 words a minute! The test have gotten easier also except for the extra class and it is still baffeling me. As for a radio, if you are looking at HF...

    PML Tomahawk modification

My experiance with PML rocket is that they end up being heavier than what they were stated. For example my Endeavor is stated to weigh 71oz empty(4 lbs 7 oz) and it tips the scale at just under 6 pounds. My Miranda(heavily modified) should weigh in at just 3 pound 4 oz empty, mine weighs 6...

    Ellis motors

I flew an H50 at AirFest in an LOC Weasel for a very awsome flight, it went up and up and with the wind(or lack there of, for once) it landed with-in 200 yards of the pad, on a streamer. These are awsome motors when they do what they are supposed to do. I would not fly one in a rocket that you...

Will You Be Holding Off on Buying New HP Stuff Now?

If any thing I may sell all of my hpr stuff, as is with my job situation and the audit that was done for the city I may no longer have a job by the end of the year. The process to get the Leup is out of my reach as is storage. But dont be lining up just yet for my stuff, I am going to ride this...

    AeroTech Information Release 10/3/06

I have a feeling if we for some odd reason do lose the case, I will have some nice items for sale! It is hard enough on a public servants salary to make ends meet let alone afford all the needed permits! Please let it go back to old times when I could walk into the LHS and buy a motor if I...

    AMW 38mm

I have flown both of these motors in the same rocket both under almost identical weather situations. Both flown in a stretched PML Miranda that weighs 6 pounds empty. I211W: Temp 68 F, Humidity 42%, Wind N @ 8MPH Altitude was 2021' I315SK: Temp 71 F, Humidity 39%, Wind N @ 10...

Awsome, but not good for our hobby

I found this while surfing on of my more favorite sites. It was shot at Airfest this year several times, but it is a good video. I dont think the title does it justice though. Rob https://www.break.com/index/flying_cone_explosion.html

    Pics of animal 38/390 I271BB

I hit my Small Endeavor with an H148R at Airfest in the 44 way g-k drag race we had and it went way out of sight! They are great little rockets.

    I315 Skid

Ther was another skid flight today at airfest which was more awsome than the I315. We had a club member fly a 2 stage with a K1000Skid to an AT K250, talk about jump and go! The altitude was just over 18K. I should have had my camera out this weekend. Rob

    K Motor Jitters!

OK, the weather was nice, the winds were low(today at least). But I did not fly the K! What was I thinking? Though I didfly into the "L" impulse for all flights combined this weekend. OH well there is next time.

    I315 Skid

I got to try one of these motors today at Airfest(Thank You Wildman!). All I have to say is that is one awsome I motor. It took the Miranda up to 2500' fighting wind all the way. I wish I had gotten a photo of it. but at least all my electronics worked right this time. If you have not had the...

    Official AIRFest 12 Thread

It should be a great Launch! I am planning my first K motor flight and it should be a rocker with sim to 10K and tickling Mach! I also have several other flights planned on H and I motors. I am looking forward to seeing every one there!

    K Motor Jitters!

Yes it is the Miranda, right now that is the only rocket in flying condition, that has a 54mm mmt. I was going to fly my Endeavor on a J180T, but ran out of time. It is rebuilt, but lacking the slimline retainer, and my ebay is not built yet. Though it might be by tommorow night! I need to get...

    K Motor Jitters!

OK, Airfest is just 2 days away, and I have a K550W waiting for me. This to me seem like a big deal because of several things. One this is my second flite using a L2 motor, 2 this is my first K motor, 3 sim says 10K+. I have yet to have a flite reach 5K, let alone 10K! 4, This rocket should...
