Advertisement: Selling "Amateur Rocket Motor Construction" by David Sleeter

So we won't be seeing any more of your sugar motors? Hope we'll still see you out at "our" launches, if only to help us burn off some of our motors.:D

    best chase scene

I can't believe no one has mentioned the car chase in Bourne Identity. For all-out massive destruction of property, you've got to love the scene from Terminator 3. The Matrix: Reloaded freeway scene is pretty nifty too.

    Need some tips on speed...

Ok, a few anonymous details. It's all carbon fiber, and I mean ALL--> The motor is by all means unconventional in its design. 250 Gs at the end of the motor burn (assuming it makes it that far)... The project is a highly aggressive one as I stated. 100% success the first time around is by no...

Oh, well I guess I'm just wasting my time then, dabbling in such low hypersonic speeds and all.;)

    Need some tips on speed...

I've got a project under way that has the potential to do Mach 6-7 in just under 3 seconds. It's aggressive to say the least. I'll share details when the time is right.

    VERY large, VERY strong fins?

Robert's buttons melted because the rocket went Mach 2.6 on the N4000, not because of the rail friction. On a rocket of the magnitude Ben speaks of, I highly doubt it would use a mere HPR design rail/buttons setup. Anyhow, awesome project form th sound of it Ben. I really hope to see it come...

    It Is Just Not Fair

Wow, that is trippy, my parents decided to name me after Clapton himself after going to see him in concert shortly before I was born. Anyways, that's going to be an awesome concert! "White Room" all the way!

    20 Second Burn

Thanks Tom!:) Ok so ONLY 60 seconds and 889,644.3 N-s to play with. Us EXers better start torquing things up a notch then. <g>

    20 Second Burn

That rule got thrown out years ago from what i've read. The only real limit on amateur motors now is in total impulse, which is capped at 200,000 lb-s roughly a mid T. So most of us have room to grow :D

    20 Second Burn

Just guessing, is that the video of the smokey N Mike Hobbs flew off the AHPRA/XRAA site? No commercial motors made burn that long, the closest being the Cessaroni M520 which burns for ~14 seconds. That 20 sec. burn N800 was made by Frank Kosdon years back. It used AN propellant and a...
