    What's your Nerd Score?

    Guess I'm more of a "geek" than a "nerd". My score = 61 (Low-ranked nerd) :D

    2nd Annual TRF Gathering

I'm not sure which hotel Mark and Phil had probelms with last year, but I had bad luck with what was the Dortches Inn. I made my reservation a couple of months ahead of time. A couple of days before the launch, I had to call to cancel - they did not have my reservation on the books - now that...

    Met some nice people today

Well, OK I did have to miss Whitakers - what can I say - something came up. But I wasn't the only one who wasn't able to show. ;) Please just don't forget me for future stuff. I wouldn't want to miss out on the Tour de Deuce flights. That project sounds so exciting! :) - Teresa

    Met some nice people today

Hey, you guys, don't forget about me - that's what I get for being the token female with this group:) . And I really do live in Greensboro, which is about 50 minutes away. I haven't launched too many rockets lately, but I love to take the pictures. Salisbury is a very nice town - lots of...

Weather Update - Whitakers - TRF Gathering April 2003

Ahh, don't let him fool you. I've worked with Milo - he's one of the best at what he does. But then you don't have to take my word - you can see the great job he and the others are doing here on the forum.

    printing software

Jim is right - the digital camera is a great way to experiment with techniques without the costs of film photography. I love it. Matt, thanks for this thread. It inspired me to finally go out and buy a camera to use for underwater shots. A year and half ago, a close friend got me...

The buttons do look great! Now, let's just hope the weather holds out. Less than 2 weeks to go!

    printing software

Matt, I have a Canon Powershot also (but mine's a couple of years old). I love it! There was software included with my camera that allows you to print multiple prints on the same page, as well as editting. That's what I use most of the time. Have fun shooting! - Teresa

    Rocketry Forum Meet...Whitakers 2003!

Kermie/Ken, I don't have a canopy, but my CRV has a fold-up table that could be pulled out if anyone needs it on Saturday. It's not big (about the size of a card table), but it might help. - Teresa

    Rocketry Forum Meet...Whitakers 2003!

I am just coming to watch, have fun, and take pictures. All I will have with me is a modest digital camera as well. Since I am not launching, I will be more than willing to help out in any way with pictures too, if I can. - Teresa

    Rocketry Forum Meet...Whitakers 2003!

Mark/Ken, Keep me in the loop on the caravan from Kernersville details. I may want to do that too. Sounds like a lot of folks are planning to be at Whitakers. That's exciting. - Teresa

    What's in a name?

Well, mine is pretty self explanatory too. I have always been a photography nut. I was one of those anoying kids who was always pointing a camera. It drove one of my boyfriends so crazy he would just roll his eyes and shrug when he saw me loading my equipment up. I had to finish my degree in...

    Another Rocket...

Good job, Phil! I love the titanium color. Will we be seeing it fly soon? - Teresa

Going to launch Homemade rocket MONDAY!!!!

I know this is late, but... I used to be a photographer. If it is a sunny day, ASA 200 would be your best bet. Mark is right - the higher you go in ASA, the grainer your pictures will be. However, this is only relevant if you want to blow them up larger than the standard 4X6. ASA 200 is a...

    oatmeal container???

Mark, Wasn't the body of the Big Daddy about the size of an Oatmeal canister. I know is was pretty wide, but maybe not that wide? If so, the Big Daddy was great. It flew true and made a great noise at take-off.

    WELD Launch

A little too much has been going on lately. I will try to be better in the future. There has been a complication recently that will probably prevent me from going to Whitakers, which I really hate - but I'll see. I would hate to miss all the excitement - you know how much watching and...

Phil, That is some rocket! Can't wait to see it fly. Can that be launched in our regular places or do you need special clearance?
