    NCR - SA-14 Archer (K-76) Gallery

I just have the final paint and decal left to do on my NCRbE SA Archer XL. Looking forward to posting pictures so I subbed this thread. I used an original kit but changed the MMT from 28mm (not a typo) to 38mm and cut new TTW fins to fit the new MMT. The rocksim file I used has these data...

    Makerbeam Rail Guides

It took me a while to find the websize showing the sizing, and my LHS was practically picked clean of any Evergreen stuff. I even brought my rail in. They're all nitro guys so they had no idea what I wanted and wasn't even worth asking. Here's the link: Evergreen Scale Models H-Beam I'm...

    Mars Leaper build and launch

I wrote the first of the one star reviews on Estes website. I'll admit, it is fun to fly, and I should of waited until I had flown it before writing the review, but there's a couple things that bug me about the foam and the appearance. My gripe isn't about using foam per se, it is the quality...

    Rocksim 10

I've found an even easier way. When opening a program use control-click or right click to get a drop-down menu. Then select open. It will give you the same warning but there's an "Open" button. Then you're good to go. Easier than opening the Control Panel and WAAAY easier than using Terminal...

    Rocksim 10

Sure. I have High Sierra and I’ve used this on previous versions back to when you could manually turn it off.

    Rocksim 10

Bobby, You should know there's a much easier way to install RockSim on a Mac WITHOUT disabling the Gatekeeper feature or using terminal. A lot of people, myself included are not totally comfortable using terminal for fear of breaking something. When you launch a program for the first time...

    Doorknob1 Vs. Doorknob2 variance

LOL Inches, Millimeters, and Kilograms to describe one rocket. I don't know how there could ever be mistakes.

    Doorknob1 Vs. Doorknob2 variance

Nike Smoke PS II - looks to be a hair under 3"

    Doorknob1 Vs. Doorknob2 variance

I saw somewhere the PS II Doorknob is using the same BT as the PS II Nike Smoke. I can't remember off the top of my head what that was, but the PSII BTs were 2" 2.5" and 4" IIRC. They weren't your typical BT-xx sizes.

Trade Estes Ornaments: I have two 2019, looking to swap for a 2017

This one is more about holiday cheer than altitude. I have an extra Estes ornament from this year. Looking on my tree it looks like I don't have a 2017 or anything before that. Looking for an elf out there who's willing to do an even swap. I'll ship mine if you ship yours.

Trade Twin Factor For Airborne Surveillance Missile

In my haste to take advantage of the great deals during Estes Cyber Weekend Sale, I accidentally ordered two Twin Factors, when I meant to order one Airborne Surveillance Missile and one Twin Factor. Anyone interested in a Twin Factor that would be willing to trade for an Airborne Surveillance...

    Vendor Boycotts

Okay, so if we can't agree on who we should boycott, may I suggest a list of "Approved" FWFG vendors. I know there's a broader thread for approved vendors and such, but as this seems to be specific to FWFG, and we can't reach a consensus on whether or not boycotting is the right thing to do, I...

What are the limits of the Estes Command Control launch controller?

The Command Control is my primary Launch Controller. I have two 7.2v 2.2ah 30-30c Lipos, though I’ve done up to 29mm SU with just the one. In winter (put the battery in my parka when it wasn’t being used). I’ve always liked the audible tones and two buttons. Makes me feel like I’m really in...

    Build Thread - SBR Horizon

I’ve flown the same motor/case/retainer combo. Everything worked fine. Remember, the thrust ring on the case transfers force to the motor tube while going up. All the retainer really does is keep the case from falling out after burnout and withstanding the force of the ejection so the laundry...

Apogee Saturn V Launch Lugs or Rail Buttons?

I am in the same boat - trying to find a rail solution while keeping the weight down. So I emailed Apogee. My email: “I’m building my Apogee Saturn V and I wanted to know if you had any recommendations for or sell rail guides that will fit the main body tube. I know I can use a traditional...

Yes, I also write that knowing that he keeps the winter follies off the calendar as it can be December or January and doesn’t happen every year.

MMMSC 20 October 2018 Scheduled Launch - Berwick, ME

As this is the last launch on the calendar, I’m certainly hoping the weather will be in our favor.
