    Free film noir found on-line

Film noir is one of the more interesting US film genres in and around WW2. This category makes for interesting classroom analysis in the RTF school. If I had not studied my major, it would definitely have been film with an emphasis specifically on film noir. It is always interesting to see...

    No more DirecTV

When cellular phone service using 5G technology is fully rolled out, the high band (Ka) segment will probably put Directv out of business anyway. At those frequencies there is sufficient RF bandwidth to allow just about any number of HD video signals to be sent out. There is no reason why...

    Intro to Electrical Engineering Book?

The ARRL handbook is about as good as any teaching book could be. The first few chapters answer almost all topics anyone could want to include in their learning curriculum. It is not just radio theory, but also power supplies, analog and digital basics...

    Ginger Baker RIP

Interesting factoid about Ginger, he was a competitive bicyclist in his younger days. That athleticism apparently carried over into his musical ability.

Simulating Bertrand R. Brinley's Alpha and Beta Rockets

The Reaction Research Society in California probably has more experience with the Ft. Sill Beta than any other group. They have built and flown numbers of them into the hundreds, albeit spread out over decades. You are correct to be suspicious of the numbers Brinley quoted for performance...

A little off topic, but a question. Do the 9 Volt Rechargeable Lithium ion batteries make a full 9V output with no load ? Here I am going to show my age, but the older Ni-Cad 9V batteries were only good for about 8.4V with no load. Anybody know ?
