True. Coating the inside of the booster coupler with fiberglass/epoxy helps. I designed the kit before there where any COTS timers/stagers on the market. My first prototype that I still fly has a capacitor/Mercury switch in the booster covered with fiberglass. (Please don't use this method)...

Once I get caught up moving my current kits to the laser cutter I'll start work on this again. With the addition of my 3D printer and the laser I can now do things I could not do when I first built it.
