Short version is that I've been getting absolutely swamped with my pinball business, and it's been a real struggle to do any development work. I even started a rocket build thread, and then all I've done is epoxy the motor retainer to the motor tube. It's been bonkers like I've never seen...

Got the latest batch of boards in, got the parts in, and then I promptly took a week and a half off while family visited. Should be just a couple more days before I'm ready to sell the first ones. It's all here, I just need to assemble and test a sample, and sort out pricing.

The fantastic John Pursley, whom was the man making those skins, recently passed away. So I don't believe the skins will be available again.

Since it's so large, this one really shows a pretty good video of a peaceful apogee and deployment. Otherwise I'm having trouble finding videos with a clear view at apogee. That's just such a difficult part of a flight to get a clear zoomed video of. -Hans

Should be a good flight on the H283, but light enough that I'd maybe look at a smaller average impulse. J-180 ........ That's gonna go HIGH. Single deploy with a chute release may be a great combo in there.

On a side note, please tell us more about that rocket. The three parachutes are intriguing

As it nears zero velocity, you've got rapidly decreasing airflow over the airframe and over the fins. Need airflow to have aerodynamics. This is actually normal to see and not a concern. If a rocket goes straight up, and comes straight back down, there is a period of instability at apogee...

Helped Dad rebuild a cub when I was a kid, he's still got it close to 40 years later, still uses it all the time. He's got two of them now, not sure if he's still got the 9N's as well, he sold a few of his old tractors at an auction a couple years back. -Hans
