    Wildman Holiday sales

Something with my account. I created another one with a e-mail I seldom use any longer and all of the prices updated.

    Wildman Holiday sales

Yup. Still nothing. Everything is at the same prices I was looking at yesterday.

    Wildman Holiday sales

Still not seeing the sale prices on anything, even the Wildman kits on the specials pages. Anyone else having this problem? Cleared cache, restarted the browser, tried a different computer even. Nada.

Logged in, but I'm not seeing any of the discounts except on a few things. Give it a few minutes?

    LOC flexible phenolic

So no brittleness to speak of?

    LOC flexible phenolic

    Yep, they do. 42" length.

About to start ordering parts for my next HPR build, 5.5" MDRM that I've 3D printed a nose cone for. There are just enough trees around the field I launch at now that I'm wanting something a bit more durable than straight cardboard should it get entangled and has to be yanked free of one. I was...

    Jolly Logic Chute Release

I've put one in an Estes Vagabond, which is a BT-60 body tube. Takes some careful packing of the 'chute, but it will fit. I would also advise permanently attaching a brightly colored streamer or other material to the JLCR so that it should happen to become detached from the rocket, you have a...

Belleville Order - Anyone else have this kind of delay?

USPS is beyond screwed up right now. With few exceptions, almost everything I have had shipped to me over the past 3-4 months, even priority mail, gets delayed at least 3-4 days. I had one package that took about a month to move across Pennsylvania. If I have the option, I pay the extra buck...

3D Printing Apogee Falcon 9/Crew Dragon 3D model issue

Thanks, that seems to have fixed it. FYI to anyone using Cura, you will also have to enable the setting "Print Thin Walls" or it won't slice the grid portion of the model.

3D Printing Apogee Falcon 9/Crew Dragon 3D model issue

I’m trying to print the plans Apogee posted to build the Falcon 9/Crew Dragon. I have successfully printed the nose cone and flyable nozzle, however I cannot get the grid fins to slice correctly. Tried both Cura and PrusaSlicer and got roughly the same result, it renders a small portion of the...

    Found Chute Release

I forgot to tether mine and it was lost to the rocket gods about a year and a half ago. Looking for someone looking to unload one they aren’t using anymore.

    How Reliable are Estes Igniters?

My personal experience has been somewhere between 75 and 99 percent. I can think of maybe one or two times where the igniter lit, but the motor did not, probably because I did not get the tip completely against the propellant. I recall that motors with smaller nozzles seem to be a little more...

    Big Daddy on a F35

Out of curiosity, I went into OR to see how much weight you'd have to add to a Big Daddy to get (close) to 1 cal stability.... Over 200 lbs! It actually stopped changing the stability calculation at 200# at .95 cal, I guess I found a limit of the application. I think I am going to cut off the...

    Big Daddy on a F35

I used the lower CR to align the motor mount and then used generous fillets on the fins where they attached to the motor mount. It is pretty solid and it flew well...until the nosecone popped off early! It will get the rear CR after I add the screw on retainer. I just don't have the means of...

    Big Daddy on a F35

I built and launched a Big Daddy on a F35 this past weekend and almost immediately after burnout experienced a drag separation of the nose cone. Happy to report there was no damage to the rocket. I had added about 2oz of nose weight to aid with stability with the larger motor. In addition...

    AeroTech Open Thread

AT got back to me and said it is actually by design to help the nozzle seat. But they said there was no issue with peeling off the outer layer of the liner like in the HP loads to make it fit. They're sending me a replacement liner in the mail.

    AeroTech Open Thread

First time loading my new 24/60 motor and the propellant liner gets about halfway in the case and now is completely stuck. I always lightly lube the inside of my cases just to ease assembly and cleanup. I finally removed it after cutting it out of the motor. So now I'm short a liner for a...

    Sold Madcow 4" Seawolf

Bought this a couple of years ago and just never got around to working on it. Now I'm about to move and it needs to get gone. I put the motor mount together and that's it. Includes the entire kit, plus a 29mm retainer plate, 54mm MMT tubing and centering ring that I bought to make an av bay for...
